Here's some new pics I took of my ambilobe today. I noticed he had a yellow mouth and when I came into the room, he was in the shade with his eyes closed. I'm not sure to be worried or not.
Alot of panther chams have a yellow mouth...mine unfortunatley was something to worry about though.
My chams mouth was yellow and I thought it was nothing until she started going downhill. Turns out her mouth was johndis, and it was related to her liver.
If you notice any changes in your cham..lethargy, not eating, drinking, or dehydration, don't think twice pack up and get to the vet just to be on the safe side. It may cost you a bit of cash but to not be worried about it's health would be worth in IMO.
Thats funny, in regards to the jaundice comment. Well not funny but peculiar. I was going to post that yellowing of tissue in humans usually means jaundice and liver issues, but I didn't know if this applied to chameleons so I didn't say anything. lol.
Shaner...was your chameleon's mouth always yellow or did it become yellow?
How was it determined that it had liver problems?
Did you take it to a vet in Sudbury?
ColorChangingClick - I was going to administer some "medicine" to my cham, but I didn't want to have a cham with a yellow mouth and red eyes, that'd just be wierd.
