I came home from work today and found a bright yellow mystery in my veiled's enclosure. Could it have been some sort of poop? I should have taken a picture of it, but I threw it away. It was about the size of a smashed pea, and it was hard. I don't know if it was poop or not, or where it came from, there was nothing yellow in her tank other then the coloring on the fake leaves.
She is also acting very weird. I have only had her for about three weeks, and I don't know how old she is, but she is small, about three inches long w/o the tail. When I got home she was up against the glass in the front of her tank, as far away from her lamps as she could get, and when my daughter walked up, she went and hid under a fake leaf on the bottom of her tank. She is a dark color with the yellow stripe down her back and from chin to chest. She is normally a pretty lighter green with the same yellow stripes. We fed her a worm by hand, and she took it with no problem, and became a little lighter after she ate it.
The only thing that has changed since we got her was that I put a sandwich sized container in her tank for food, and I don't think she likes it. I have just taken it out, maybe it could be causing her stress??
I know I am supposed to use the how to ask for help thing, but I am typing this on my iPad, with no access to a computer right now. I know this is fairly limited info, but any kind of assistance or advice or suggestion is appreciated!
