Yellow Spot

Kris Chams

Chameleon Enthusiast
We just got back from the vet. She said that she's never seen anything like this before. It could be cancer or it could be an infection. She's prescribed to medications for him to take for a week. Has anyone seen anything like this before on their chameleon?

Hi Kris, is it just the yellow spot or is there a type of lump/abscess associated with it? Did she do any kind of aspiration to look at cells?

It is a small yellow lump, she said that if the meds do not work within 7 days, she will do a biopsy and send it to the lab to find out what it is. I will take really close up pictures and send them to you tomorrow.

Hmm, this is a tricky one…if it is papilloma the antibiotics aren’t going to do anything for it because it’s viral. Is there a reason the vet didn’t try to drain it?
