Hey guys I am a newbie to keeping chameleons I have a 7 month old hissy female she fine when she out challenge getting her out. Any way do any of you guys keep more than one in a heptibreeze. I want a male as well but been told mixed things I will have spare setup for when they have mated so she can have the eggs in peace and quite and have time to relax after laying eggs but put them back together after she done with her brake. Any advice thanks

no you cannot house chameleons together. You have been given the wrong info, if told that. If you get another, use the spare cage for the new chameleon. as babies up until a couple a months old yes, after that no.

You can with massive vivs for them, I have a mate who houses three females to one male in 6x4x4 enclosures but in a reptibreeze it wouldn't work

. I have two males who I have in a screened in patio that is 22 feet by 12 feet. Pretty massive right!? They freerange and each have their own corners with plants and ropes and branches. There have been a few occasions where they have tried to confront each other. I usually let them sleep out there but I do not let them be out there unattended. No matter how large the area, they can still find each other. your friends enclsosure does not seem near big enough to house 4 chameleons.

I'm not sure if that would be large enough. I wouldn't suggest it without an enclosure with 2 basking spots, 2 territories, two drippers, etc. It could work, but I wouldn't want to add stress to them.:)

Now your just showing of, 22 by 12! and I agree with you I wouldn't do it but it works for him

haha! did not mean to sound like a smart a$$ just trying to make a point! But seriously, even with all that room they will try and find each other and start problems. I know in rare cases some do get along but I would hate to recommend something like that and have it turn out disastrous.

I have seen some terrible videos of chameleons being housed together which usually ends up in the smaller one getting eaten! Keeping chams together is for very experienced keepers only IMO and even then is not recommended. There will usually be an alpha who takes all the food and good spots so as one thrives the other withers.

Female veileds can be quite grumpy and easily stressed so I personally wouldn't dream of putting her in with another cham of any sex or age.

As your girl is at that age you should be getting prepared for the infertile egg laying. have you read jannb's blog yet?

Yes I know about egg laying I used to breed beardies a few years ago so I know what to do on that side of things would just really like more chams and thought they would be ok together as not might look for a panther to add to my collection

I've found a male I could breed with her and he has his own set up but struggling to find a mate to collect him for me any of you guys know if there is a currie that would?

The reptibreeze I.was looking at was 6ft by 4ft so fairly big and will keep old set up as spare

where might you find this size?!!! I would love to have this size as my second outdoor cage. All the online sights I have been on the XL Reptibreeze is 4 ft X 2 ft X 2ft.
