Yoshi seems to be dying!

first of all welcome to the forum.
you have tons of things wrong with your setup.
First, Dusting crickets with d3 daily can cause d3 overdose. you should use calcium with out d3
second. Its important to spray multiple times per day to kepp humidity up. you should be recording your humidity and temperature and the basking spots
the cage should be AT LEAST 36"X36"X4' tall and it should be screen not tank.
Dont use substrate as it can cause many problems such as impaction
ice cubes as a primary water source is bad for the kidneys
your not feeding him veggies (only if hes a veiled cham)

Bring him to the vet IMMEDIATELY

You really should read the rest of the thread before post just saying

Im sorry for your loss. RIP Yoshi. :(

At least you know the correct husbandry for future chameleons you may have. A lot of us learn the hard way. Whether it be leaving the cage open (My experience), or just incorrect husbandry, ignorance on our part has killed a lot of chams. Sorry it happened. :(

But it wasn't even ignorance in your situation. You were mislead, so don't beat yourself up for it.

I'm so sorry. Kinyonga said it best:

You should look at it as a learning experience for yourself too. We all make mistakes and hopefully learn from them

I'm sure everyone here has a horror story, whether they've posted it or not. Hopefully this will not put you off chameleons (because they are so wonderful!). Read up here on what you really need, then jump back in when you're ready. We'll all be happy to see you with a new chameleon.

I'm going to link you to a few excellent sources of info for caring for chameleons. Then if you have any additional, specific questions you can ask them and we'll be happy to help:

So sad =( I really didn't need to see this, but infact I did. I just received my new Cham today, and wow that hit hard! I have a proper set up, with proper cqare, but man.. that's so sad. R.I.P

I'm curious...why do you say that ice cube water is bad for kidneys? If the water line to the freezer taps off the main house water line what difference would it make (unless you have nasty tap water)?

Also, not all veileds will eat veggies. Mine wouldn't touch them.

i dont know why, ive heard about it afew times. I think its the same reason as crested geckos. The kidneys have trouble functioning in lower temps

he didnt say that on his post and a majority of them will eat veggies if fed from a young age

my apologies. Its a shame about the false info online. Make sure you have liable sources for your reptile care

It definitely is a shame about all the false info online. Why are you increasing the volume of it?

Ice cubes are not recommended as a water source for chameleons because the cold chill of the water is not natural or good as a drinking source. It has nothing to do with being hard on the kidneys.

Also, chameleons can be kept in glass and when they are, you should not be misting them with the same frequency as when you keep them in all screen enclosures.

As I've said in reply to many of your posts, please double check your information before you post!

Chris
