Hello! Im new to Chameleon Forums, and Chameleon husbandry in general. I own a baby Veiled Cham of about 2 months, his name is Yoshi and he was about 9 cm when we got him.
He looks like a regular Veiled Cham with pink accents on his feet and head. I love my Yoshi so dearly and iv'e been taking very good care of him the day I got him. I took down as many notes as I could when I got him: physical appearance, habits and actions.
Two physical features ive noticed are:
- Stripe along under-arm possibly meaning dehydration
- Small bump near his left elbow, i'm really hoping this is NOT MBD, and i'm sure it is'nt because:
- His mom never carried any signs of MBD, according to the pet store
- I have been feeding him calcium coated crickets (Two week) every second day
One habit ive noticed:
- He sleeps for a very long time, about 5PM - 6PM to around 4AM - 6AM, my mom claims this is probably just because he is a baby and he needs to rest a lot because hes growing
Images:
Yoshis habitat: The food dish is visible, on the side with the heat lamp (currently off). The flag on the right side is to cover the light at night.
Yoshis silk plant, on the opposite side of the heat lamp, this is where he sleeps.
This is Yoshi, I put a blue circle around the questionable spot just below his elbow but didnt manage to get a picture of the dry looking stripe across his belly.
If anyone who is experienced with Veiled Chams in any way could please answer my questions, I would really appreciate that!
