Here are some pics of some young carpets. f. lateralis lateralis
These were taken at bed time.

I do not plan on keeping them housed together, they are CB but are in isolation before they are moved to their permanent location. but it is interesting how they nuzzle up to each other. The males do it and the females.

Females do not like young males in with them and attack them constantly. The little ones are females. They like to stay close at night when they slip. There are four and they like to pair up.

I had a small male I thought was a female in with them. They constantly attacked him, he was moved into his own tub. I finally figured out he was a male after a shed.

Some of the males around 3 months seem to get along fine at this age. Some of the more dominant and larger males would bully the others and had to be isolated. If they are around 4 months they do not tolerate each other very well. I have a few (no pictures in this thread) that are in their own cages.

Any way I just thought I would share some pictures and my observations with everyone. Sorry they are not the best pictures

Enjoy.

I'll get some pics of the older ones tomorrow. These guys are just getting colors. At about 4 months they are really impressive.

Wow, what a great group. I like how shy they are, so modest for being so beautiful. I love how the girls hang out together, that is too cute, I guess enjoy it while you can...until the jealousy over who gets what hot guy starts :D
