Young Veiled hurt

Today I messed up, I shut the cage door after misting and feeding and one of my chams hand was injured due to it... He immediately hid after it was done and I can't see what the damage is fully to his hand. I believe two of his fingers are broken... I honestly do not know what to do. when I tried reaching for him, he snapped at me (which I figure he would). I hate injuring animals even if it was by accident. I mean I avoid hitting dead animals on the road and I even stop in major traffic to help turtles cross the road...

You might want to get him to a vet if you can. If his enclosure is small enough, maybe you can transport him in it? If not, maybe you can leave a stick or branch that lets him out and you can get him into a smaller carrier?

Sorry to hear that. My cham fell a couple of times when he was startled by me, but fortunately wasn't hurt. But those moments were gut wrenching :/

It happens to the best of us. I snagged my Jax's tail in the cage door once awhile back. I was very lucky he wasn't hurt. It was an accident, so try not to be too hard on yourself. I would give him some space for a few hours, then try to see if there's any damage. He might be more startled and scared than hurt. If there is no swelling or blood, just keep an eye on his foot for any changes.

UPDATE:

Well, I just let him be for a week after it happened... He seems to be doing just fine. Allows me to hold him and doesn't act aggressive. His hand looks to be healing fine. but I am not sure if he would be able to use the two finger again... But, it has not messed around with his climbing.
