Zoo med dual lamp

Hi all,

I'm new here, awaiting arrival of our first veiled chameleon this weekend.
Can anyone tell me if the Zoo Med dual lamp fitting is ok to rest directly on the mesh top of an enclosure or do I have to buy the hanging bracket?

Hi, well i bought the hanging bracket, i read that if you rest the lamp fixture on top of a mesh screen, it will burn it, deform it or melt it, makes sense to me, so i just elevated my lamps a bit

Lay strips of wood across the top of the cage frame to rest the edges of the fixture on.
