Does anyone have any experience with these hand held misters? I was thinking of purchasing one but wanted to check with all of my muses out there...:p

It's a Zoo Med Moto Mister

I had one. It's a strait mister, only I abused it...lol. I had a rubberband around the trigger so it would continue spraying... it got messed up and broke.

if you are looking for a really fine spray you should look at this thing.

No batteries or anything like that. need to be pumped though. puts out a mist as fine as mist king or herp mist....

I found mine at walmart...24.00 ...

I haven't found it on the web site so I am not sure if it is readily available where you are...

Hope that helps

PS this is before I got my misting system.:D

That's exactly what I'm looking for - Thanks!

PS back to you: Misting System is on my list as well :)

summoner you should totally do a DIY with one of the pump misters for an automated system. id greatly appreciate it!!

We like our misty mate! We have a few of them around the house, it saves the hands, but then again we have lots of animals that we like to give a mist shot now and again so its easy. We also have some of the spray pumps that work great too...
Of course our Herp Mist systems handle the bulk of our misting needs.

Just in case some one else gets the bright idea like I did, don't place the misty mate water container (sans pump assembly) in the micro to heat up the water.

The plastic is not heat tolerant and with the pressure generated by the pump, will cause the plastic to distend and quite possible rupture.

I speak from experience just in case you all are wondering. :D

It was spooky when the bottle started to expand, but pretty dang funny after I got it under control...I could see the Headlines..."Man hurt in explosion caring for chameleons";)

Play safe every one

Back to the original post, I do have one and I like it a lot, but not as a main misting system. For that I use the mistking. This one I use it for misting the cages walls ones a day, and do a heavy mist, to ensure my chams have enought water to drink. Also, I use it instead of putting my chams in the shower, so I don't have to take them out of the cage. The reservoir on it is quite large so y only fill it up, once or twice a week.
