veiled colors

What colors can veileds change? and at what age do they start getting these colors. I know i've seen some pretty vibrant veileds.

edit: oh yea at 3 months or earlier they will start to show good colors and stripes, and then literally every month if you take a picture they will change soooo much until they are a full grown lizard its very very cool.

veileds can range in background color from turquoise to neon green at rest

when they go dark, it can be a dark green, brown, black

stripes and out line color with be yellowish, if its good genetics it will be very bright yellow or even orange with good outline and unique markings

inside the bars there will also be spots that are usually blueish but can also be greenish.

they are also now producing transluscent veileds!

a good veiled is also measured by a high casque.

all of these things can be achieved quickest by providing good lighting, cage, vines and most importantly diet and supplementation! so read up if you havn't done so

hope that helped

is there any telling from this pic what he may turn out like? Im hoping he had a good lookin sire, and hope he will develope some bright colors.

yea he looks good!all those dark spots and stripes will emerge month by month so make sure to take lots of pics so you go through it like a flip book and be like wow have you grown young one

Its really hard to tell right now, but he looks like he's going to have quite a bit of turquoise in him. How old is he? Usually around 5 to 6 months you can put a mirror up to them and they'll show you all they got. Pretty guy!! David

I agree with dectr6. I think he'll be a more green/turquoise colored guy with yellows and orange. I have a male that looked almost like that at his age. He spent most of his early months pretty dark and brownish, but now he's about 9-10 months.

Looks like his whole head is turquoise. Good looking guy, just noticed some turquoise on the base of his tail also.

Veiled start getting color around 6 months old but wont get to full coloration around 1 - 1.5 years old. Here are some picture of my collections: they range from turquoise blue, yellow etc...Sorry for so many pictures!!!

These 3 pictures are the same individual (light green to turquoise)

i on the other hand am not sorry for all the pics i love to make you guys look at like 101010 if i can :)

I wonder if Azog and Ming are related. I got my last one from Kammers also sired by Ming though . They look VERY similiar. I think I'll write Liddy and see if their related.

Either Ming is Azog's son, or Ming is Azog's son. Or they are brothers. They both have that dot.

LPR-Do you know that for a fact or just making an assumption. Your probably right as mine also has the spot, but I'd like to know their relation for sure. I know the Kammers keep good records so I think I'll drop them a line. Thanks David

Hey I actually got the male from Mike FLChams... and he told me is from your collection. Yeah it is a very nice orange/yellow guy. I think this guy have a nice barring on the right side and not the left side. But who cares...I love the Orange in him!!!

lol thats too funny so you have my chameleon now? he looked a lot better on the internet than in person at the time but i'm sure he looks great now

I'll be glad when the bloodlines from the wc florida veileds start showing up for sale. The ones at lost lake are unlike anything I've ever seen. I've never seen so many that large, and with so much red and bright orange in them.
