• Had to grab some feeders from Pet Supermarket today. As I was wishing I could take their newly arrived little boy veiled home, I noticed the uvb above him. Was hard to get a clear pic, but it says UVB Changed 11-27-16. Yes, 2016. I’m really hoping that they mean the whole fixture was changed and not the bulb. I asked employees and of course they know nothing.

Yeah, hard not to take one home when you see the conditions they're kept in. The bad thing is people see how they're kept and think that's what they need to do too.

I’m hoping against hope that the majority of them are sold to suckers like us who can’t stand the idea of these sweet innocent babies having bleak futures.

I have no idea what the massive bright green grasshopper looking bug was on my sliding glass door, but when it landed on the door, it was loud! It flew away before I could get a pic. Creepy bug!
Would be amazed if you could get a pic of one of the cams with the rocket launch today 🚀 I’ll bet you have a better view than me!

Sorry. I try not to pay attention to launches any more. They’ve gone from being a wonderful occasion to an almost daily disturbance.

That's fair, I didn't consider additional launches that aren't carrying people
Such pretty little moths. 🤗 They’ve been hard at work making and laying eggs for over the past week and still more to go.

Wow yours actually have real wings. When I tried hatching out all of mine had awful tiny wings.
Is portulaca safe for a veiled cham?

I have no idea. The info I can find says that they can cause acute oxalate poisoning in dogs and other animals which can lead to kidney/organ failure. Usually when oxalates are the toxic item, they are said to cause GI upset - vomiting. This sounds more serious, so I would avoid it. If you want a nice burst of color, try crotons or for reds, nerve plant and for pink a polka dot plant.

Thank you it grows all over our yard, my wife calls it moss rose because it grows close to the ground and has pretty flowers.
Argh! Soil gnats! Waiting for mantids to hatch and can’t find the sticky pads for the Katchy’s. Just gonna have to go insane🤪
