My family calls Crane Flies "Mosquito Hawks" there are everywhere here during the summer. Most of my chameleons I have offered "Mosquito Hawks" to pass on them as a food item. However I recall Trioceros montiums made a meal out of "Mosquito Hawks".

I have found the best cure for a chameleon the is going on a "Hunger Strike" is giving that chameleon some outside time in natural sunshine and offering the chameleon as much of a variety of food as possible. Going outside I think is similar to people with "Cabin Fever" getting out of the house...
You are concerned about something maybe in your male Chamaeleo calypatratus's eyes. To me your males eyes look great. There is no real bulges that would indicate something is there in his eyes. However if you are concerned you can put your male Chamaeleo calypatratus in a hydration chamber...
Experiment some to figure what gut load is best for your chameleons feeder insects. Other than that "Sounds Good" keep at it!

Here is a picture of one of my Furcifer pardalis males "Enigma".

I recommend gut loading with some type of gut load for whatever species you can gut load with. Silkworms and Hornworms there is not any gut load for those insect species. However you can gut load with crickets, grasshoppers and roaches. That is a great way to get extra nutrition to your...
Nothing too exotic. I have got a couple male Furcfer pardalis and and a male Trioceros jacksonii xantholophus.
The greenhouse is thriving with plants though. I have been considering some chameleon specimens for the greenhouse.

Nice enclosure! You have got some room in the corner where your enclosure is. You may want to consider make a "Free Range" habitat for your chameleon.
What type of chameleon have you got?
