• Absolutely gutted. 😭 Unexpectedly had to send my beautiful Tabby over the rainbow bridge a few hours ago. Every now and then an animal enters your life that you form a very deep bond with…that was my Tabby. My only solace is that her suffering is over.

Yay! Finally have found a good place for my turtle to be able to live a natural life, yet still be cared for. The cutie can have the life that was stolen from it. Such a beautiful relief. 🤗 I’ll miss it, but to think of it living in a pond with other turtles will more than soothe my heart.

Awwwwww a pond for the little guy. He is going to be soooooo happy.
Spending a fun day baking potting soil. Finally redoing Stella’s bioactive set up, but my giant bag of soil had roaches all in it. 😱 Now I trust none of them and have to bake them all. Criminy!
Oh boy! I now have mystery eggs. Two have what looks to be well formed lizard babies inside and the others appear empty, but may be freshly hatched. Only problem is they weren’t marked or kept in their original positions, so they may have died. (Were dug up by a landscaper) 🥺 Google helped me to find how they are supposed to be so I’ll give them a chance and see what happens.

Not looking so good, but Snake Discovery taught me, “incubate until there’s no debate”.

I should have known better. Went to Lowe’s just to buy some landscaping bricks to make a new beardie basking platform. $100 in plants later…. At least I did remember to get the bricks.
😭😭 Accidentally ran over and killed a fence lizard when I pulled into my driveway. 😭😭 I never ever see these around and feel so very rotten. 😭😭😭

I smashed a salamander hiding under our trash can a few months ago on accident. It was an instant death I guess fortunately, but I still get bummed out about it now thinking of it.

Regarding bugs even, I think the only thing I can bring myself to kill anymore is mosquitoes/ticks.
My order of crickets (3,000) got lost somewhere due to the hurricane. I feel kind of bad for the icky stinky bugs - trapped in a box, over crowded, minimal food all gone and probably hot and oppressive. RIP crickets. 😔 I dread that you may eventually be delivered DOA.

Miracle of miracles! They came today and only one casualty! Crazy!
Just checking in. How you doing over there? They say it might be a month for us to get power back. They have to rebuild the substation🙁

Power flickered, but stayed on. That’s crazy to not have power for a month! They need to build a new substation a lot quicker than that. But you and yours are ok and that’s more important.

Yeah we are good. Been cleaning up the tree limbs and trying to stand a palm tree back up.
