Thank you ferret that's what the vet said. I've found out today that the pet shop I bought him from is going out of business and closing down at the end of April. So I probably have no hope of getting anything out of them. Thanks for all your help.
I have only these picture which my girlfriend took
Near the front on the mouth line the top jaw and bottom do not meet like they should and it was looking rounded and sticking out. We took him to the vet and they scraped away the green puss from the inside of his mouth. It doesn't look to bad...
Yeah it seems a bit extreme, that's what I thought. The vet said if we don't get the infected bone cut out his jaw will rot and he won't be able to eat them die. I've looked the vet up on the tintanet and he seems like a very good vet. I might pop in to the pet shop one last time. I'm not going...
I've just bought a panther chameleon and after a week of having him I noticed a lump on his jaw. I took him to the vets and they said that his jaw was rotting away. So we've booked him in to have an opp next week to cut away the rotten bit and after that he should be fine. Where do I stand with...
Finally got my viv finished all working and the lizards in.
This is it with the background fitted,
Then I made the mesh fronts and used magnetic and steel tape to connect them so they are removable
And here it is finished

Terry's
The BEardies

Bad news I lost about half the eggs in a couple of days. I don't know why as nothing changed in temp or moisture. But they all collapsed inwards. I've left them in the incubator for now just to make sure.
I work in a print and sign shop so I can just print what I want. The material I use is a standard vinyl with a clear laminate, then mount it to the foamex and wrap it around the edges. If you go to any good sign shop or sign company they would or should be able to print what you want. I don't...
Got the roof on the viv tonight, cut the holes for the fans and lights and lined the inside with foamex which is waterproof.
I have also chosen this to print as the background pic
My female veiled layed her first clutch ever,3 months ago, she is about 2 and she has not layed any more. What time scale is there between clutches of eggs or sometimes do they only lay one clutch.
Sorry for the thread hijack
Both my chameleons go through stages of eating. Sometimes they won't eat for a few days and sometimes they will sit there and just eat an eat an eat. I thought correct me if I'm wrong that wax worms were very addictive for chameleons and were only supposed to be used once a month at most. Mine...
Maybe she could smell them, she can't now they are in the next room in an incubator. I will hold off buying a little viv then it could be another 6 months yet!
I wanted to keep the chameleon enclosure more like a tree habitat so lots of real plants and vines. But i did want to do a big rock scene for the beardie's, I've got a few big basking rocks which I "borrowed" from the local marina. I was thinking a big fake rock back wall but I didn't know what...
It's been 3 months now and only 1 egg has gone mouldy and been thrown away. When do I know that my eggs will probably hatch and I will have to buy a new house for them.
Ive decided to make a new enclosure for my cham's and beardie's. It's 6 foot, wide an 7 foot in height. The beardie's enclosure is 6x2x2 and the 2 Cham enclosure's are 4x3x2. It's a wooden enclosure with a mesh front and I'm going to install a monsoon system and some small fans to help with...
