Yeah I know for sure he shed his body and top of head, don't remember the tail. He is still active and I have seen him drink on multiple occassions. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something ya'll thought should be addressed right away.
ok great. I had read that somewhere but only like to trust this website. haha. Ever since I got him it's like I think about him 24/7. How long does leftover shed tend to stay like that?
So I have had this chameleon since wednesday, and he shed on thursday. The thing is on friday and saturday he started showing this white area primarily around the top of the tail, and faintly on the top of his head. I saw him shed the skin off his head, so don't think it is leftover skin. Just...
Hey again,
I just got my new little chameleon in and he is 3 months old. The basking temp directly under the bulb is 90 degrees, but he hasn't actually basked there yet. The other places he sits tend to be mid 80's to 88. Do these basking temps sound ok for a 3 month old? Oh and sometimes I...
Haha yeah he definitely has a an energetic personality. I haven't held him yet, but he is always in a different spot! haha. He just shedded today, was a crazy sight to see! Can't believe I got to see it on the second day. The Kammers people are really great.
So this is my chameleon, just arrived yesterday. He ate 6 small crickets and my girlfriend even caught him drinking! I was so jealous. Haha. He is only 3 months old and as cute as can be!! Next task is finding a name for him. =]

Haha thanks man. Appreciate you taking the time to add all that. I will def take that into consideration. Once I get back from this hockey game I'll post pictures of the cage, I think its pretty awesome. Lots of Highways.

Hey y'all haven't been on here for awhile, busy with school and such. My cage is complete and has way more than last time i showed pics(will probably post them tonight since I am at school right now). Anyways, my chameleon is finally going to arrive on Wednesday!! I am so excited, but would like...
I am now using the AcuRite Digital Humidity and Temperature Comfort Monitor
found on this page, which seems to be much more accurate. The link is right here...
So y'all don't think the actual monitor itself is getting hot? At first I had a zoo med one which was reading 120(thought was really wrong), and went to get the one mentioned above. It is reading about 93, but when I touch it the monitor itself feels hot. I mean I can adjust the temp, just don't...
Hey, I was just wondering the best way to find out the basking temp? Should I be putting the temp monitor on the actual basking spot location, or hanging on the side of the basking spot? Just feel that it would heat the monitor up give inaccurate readings? I am using the monitor that shows both...
Hey, they had this tree for free at the university sitting for two months or so. Going to try and nurse it back to health, and wondered if it'd be alright for the cham for a free range addition to a fake tree or two. Just no idea what plant it is, and wondered if any of y'all would know...
Oh definitely, I spend most of my freetime looking at y'alls pictures already!
Yeah, decided on going with sticktongue's idea, since we have a similiar cage anyways. haha, na it does sound like the best bet though. Thanks though.
HAHA, naw they eat steroided crickets, only breed super chameleons(the next secret weapon for the military).
Appreciate it, its pretty light, and used birch wood for the flooring so it'd be strong enough to hold the plants up.
Thanks man, thats crazy though. Great minds think alike? ha.
So you think if I put a towel at the bottom and do the idea of just washing it and replacing it I'd still have to change out the bottom?
