Okay y'all, I have had my 2 female Jackson's for about a week or so.. they're doing good, eating & drinking well, their colorations look good, they're adjusting well, & so far, they have a pretty chill attitude. Ones a bit more outgoing than the other, but they are doing well as far as I can...
I'm still confused as to what would work best? Basically I'm just putting crickets in a bowl that they can't get out of, therefore my chams still have something to eat, but I don't have to worry about crickets free runnin all in her cage??
Okay, awesome! I would like to do something like this.. I just get worried because they always end up wandering off.. I feel like I could lose them, if I wasn't watching 24 7..
I know I post a lot on here, I'm just new & want to learn absolutely everything I can.. I have 2 1 year old (approx) Female Jackson chams, & would like to know about free ranging? What is it? When can I free range? What's best about free ranging, can I have both girls out at the same time? Can...
Thanks! I was hoping they would be ok as far as size.. what exactly is a feeding cup, might I ask? I'm worried my chams won't find the crickets in their cages... Surely they are smart enough to know the cricks are there?! If I put crix in a cup, won't they crawl out lol?
Calypso- yes, I have already had one fall, I was getting some crickets, with my back turned, and all.the sudden I.heard a thump.. she had fell! I started freaking out majorly.. she turned a dark color, sat still for a minute, then climbed right back up. I'm guessing she's okay.. I don't think...
Thanks so much! I'm sure they'll do okay, I just don't want them falling off the wall or anything, lol. I have plenty of plants & things in there, I just worry about them.. they are still a little clumsy at times it seems!
I have two Jackson chams, both females. They were previously (before I got them) in, I would say a particularly small cage. Now that I have them, I have put them in a 3 foot tall, by 2 foot wide cage EACH. (one cage for each cham) they are only about a year old, and are about 5 inches long. Do I...
Thanks y'all! I'm not sure if she really is pregnant, but she is quite fat. Maybe a cause of over eating, as she is quite a pig. They are now in a 3 foot tall, 2 foot wide cage EACH, as I moved them to bigger cages.. is this too big a cage for chams in general? They are about 5-6 inches long...
I have posted a lot on here, I know & I apologize! I'm new obviously and have questions! I have noticed one of my females is much 'fatter' than the other. Before I adopted them, the breeder had two females & one male in a pretty big enclosure. They are all around one year of age. I adopted the...
