thats great cuz i have a screen cage left over from my panthers baby cage. ive seen some geckos labled as gold dust day gecko at the show before but they werent very green and didnt have any red spots, they just looked like a solid yellow/ gold color. ill have to take another look hen i go.
i had to hand feed my MBD cham for a while, i started off force feeding and eventually he just started to take it from my hands without his tounge. then about one month later as i was getting some crix ready for him he just zapped it out of my fingers like there was nothing wrong, you just never...
anybody ever have any luck keeping these. gonna try to find a male this sunday at the reptile how and would like some tips!!! from what i hear they are pretty much like chameleons, coming from madagascar and all
he might not go into full sheds either. my veiled rarley fully sheds anymore, he will just shed random parts like his head and then like month later his feet willshed and so on.
theres really no set age on shedding, just happens when they grow. babies shed more often and quicker than adults. my male veiled who is like 10 months old only sheds like once every couple months while my younger panther sheds more often
i think i have some left over from screening in my split rail fence, i guess i could go over the inside of the cage with it but i thought he might grow out of it like my veiled.
my 8 mo old panther had a case of MBD when he was around 4 months, his right front leg is deformed from it but the rest of him seems fine accoring to the vet. recently he has been climbing on the screen almost non stop no matter how much foliage/ vines i put in there. he has fell a few times...
as long as they get up and start moving right away its generally okay but if they stop moving theres probably a problem, my panther fell from like 4 feet when he was like 4 months old because i had just gotten him and he was terrified whenever i walked in my room, he was alright tho.
i have a green anole in a cage across from my chams, my panther could care less but my veiled always went crazy over him and whenever he was roaming around my room he would go over and try to eat it, so i had to move it into another room.
ive spent hours like that drawing up blue prints in my vocational school for construction. only to have someone take or steal them, i know how you feel :/
i think ive read that a few hrs in the sunlight is equivilant to months basking in uvb or somthing along those lines. that being said i take my chams out as long as i can. just be sure to keep them hydrated in hot arid weather.
the male vieled i picked up from some lady on craigslist had almost everyone if his nails ripped out. he only had six claws when i first got him. some that were broken past the skin have regrown and some have not. he seems to have no problem with the lack of his claws except when he tries to...
hopefully that solved theproblems, i really havnt noticed anything like that because my tree frogs are next to my chams and they are up all night moving around. they seem to sleep fine tho
