    How do you keep crickets?

I have been having great luck with mine. My setup consists of; 10 gallon fish tank (not the best but works great for up to 500 1/2" cricks. Screen top Egg shell cartons or organic biodegradable flower pots. about the size of a small cup. They are very attracted to the dark brown and love to...

    New chameleon advice.

It is preferred to let the enclosure "dry" inbetween misting cycles. This will help prevent respiratory illnesses and infections caused by constant wet saturated environments. Also it aids in shedding. I am not saying bone dry, just dont keep it soaked and saturated if you are worried about...

    New chameleon advice.

Hey there. I like the decor of that enclosure! It is very easy to look at peeks curiosity. Not real sure of the age, sorry. I can offer some other advice if you dont mind.Couple of things that I would consider. 1. Looks like you have a water dish. The consensus is that those are not...

    Who to order crickets from?

+1 This is who I buy from. I have good luck with minimal loss. Not sure about the count being high or low, how do you count 500 or 1000 crickets?

How about females? This topic is of interest to me as well.

    shedding too long?

Personally I would not peel it. The skin underneath can be underdeveloped and therefor hurt your cham. My first thought is looking at your humidity and moisture in your enclosure and make sure you have multiple periods of wet and dry.

Started my own cricket colony today!!

Caps lock, its on. I find it interesting that you are asking these questions after you started to do it. I do not think it is the easiest thing to do, it is dirty, smells and is overall not the most pleasant thing to do. YMMV. The costs, for me, do not out way the hassle.

    Drainage!

Well there are a number of ways to do it. Depends on your overall setup. What does thecage sit on? Is there room for some kind of bucket or container? Posting a pic of your current setup is helpful. I recently did a cage drainage system with a lllreptile drainage pan and tray. There is a thread...

    Cage drainage system

I used your idea to do my own today. A few things I discovered for others that want to try it. 1. The brass fitting says 5/8" diameter. This is the diameter of the flared end, not the diameter of the hole to drill. Almost messed that up. Drilled half way and though this looks a tad large. 2...

    Do Chams have taste Buds??

Did a quick search didn't find anything. Do Chameleons have taste buds? Wondering because there is a different level of interest in crickets depending on supplier and gut-loading. Wonder if they taste different to her.
