The clutches have been a little bit smaller, I photograph them each time.
It's just frustrating getting sand, and then I would always move all her stuff from her cage into my giant cage, a big hassle.. This time the cage is ruined so I'm trying bins again (never worked before, she would just...
Hey.
My female veiled that I've had for over 2 years is going to lay eggs for the 5th time.
Here are the dates she's laid eggs:
August 20009
December 2009
April 2010
August 2010
And now she's scratching again.
Every time I'd ask on the forums why she's laying eggs so often...
My chameleon used to slightly get darker spikes on her back but it was never bad and seemed to go away.
Now her spikes seem to be disintegrating and the skin near her spikes is changing colour also. (see pic)
I'm not sure if this is a health issue or if the heat lamp may be doing this...
I'm kind of scared for my chameleon.
She first laid eggs around the end of August 2009.
Then again around the beginning of December 2009.
Then again during the beginning of April 2010.
I guess they were all spaced out around 4 months.
Anyways, after that happened I got concerned and...
Hi. I have a female veiled that I've had for a little over a year and a half.
She seems stressed again the past two weeks so I fear she might be going to lay eggs AGAIN. It's such a hassle for me, especially because now we live in a smaller house so I have to buy an even smaller cage!
She...
My chameleon has been in her new enclosure for months. It's all mesh and really big (I'm downsizing soon) and she's always seemed fine in it. During the past week or two I haven't fed her as much as usual because I was really busy and didn't buy as much food. I think because of it she started...
Hi, I have a female veiled which I got in September of 2008.
Anyways, things have been great with her, and she layed about 54 eggs in around August!
She started acting strange again sometime in October, and I didn't think anything of it until I came here and someone said she's going to lay...
Hi, my female veiled chameleon just laid her eggs a couple of months ago, but during the past few days she's restless, constantly moving around the cage and climbing everything she can. Is this normal? I can't remember but I think it might have happened before, even before she laid her eggs...
I didn't have enough sand to fill the whole thing - I bunched it all in one corner. And I can't put a bin in there, I made the cage out of an old dog cage so it doesn't have one entirely open side. =[
And, she already dug two tunnels. Does it look like she's going to lay anymore?
Alright, I recently was working on fixing up a waaay bigger cage for my chameleon, so I decided to finish it and I did what you said - I put the sand IN the cage. I also gave her one vine so she can reach higher and bask so she doesn't get cold.
The problem is now that she's just sitting on...
I gave her privacy all day, but after she was finished digging her tunnel, she escaped the bin. I thought she was done laying but she didn't lay at all.
Also, I don't keep her there at night, it's really cold. She sleeps in her cage at night.
OH and my parents like to go into the room when...
I fixed her bin a little so she couldn't escape, and she finally started digging, but she didn't lay eggs! She dug a tunnel though, and is ALLLL sandy, but no eggs still? =/ Maybe I didn't have enough sand? Helppp
Ahhh!
She isn't eating her food right away, and she is digging in the corner!
She's ready to lay eggs I'm guessing!
What to do what to do.. lol. *searches for a post about this*
Well I first noticed that after being light green for a while, my chameleon has been dark lately (she used to do that all the time though).
She's been walking around in circles, climbing everywhere and doing it over and over. I've been feeding her more but she looks so skinny and strange...
Recently I have been putting sponges into my cricket bucket, soaked in water, because whenever I would put the SLIGHTEST amount of water in the bucket, plenty of them would drown somehow and die.
That gel water is expensive.
Today I realized that they have eaten lots of chunks out of the...
