Finished my enclosure for our first panther chameleon

I have extra 6 ft jungle vines i'll probably add, but theres 3 bars on the back that are horizontal and plus I have 3 6ft jungle vines in the center, but you probably cant see well on the right hand side, but theres drift wood and vines also on the right hand side, but he can easily climb from...

Finished my enclosure for our first panther chameleon

Well we didn't get an automatic Mister yet so we are just going to manually mist, but when I replanted the plants I used 50% Coconut Husk and 50% natural sand so with a lot of the misting if directed towards the wood and plants it should absorb a lot of it and dissipate, but then water proofed...

Finished my enclosure for our first panther chameleon

So we finished building the enclosure and we're just waiting for our panther chameleon that we ordered from canvas chameleons to arrive tomorrow. So please tell me how you think we did for our first time. We are first time chameleon owners. We washed everything we put in there. The bottom is...

    Question about Fogger and Mister

But on a side note. I decide not to get a fogger. I've talked to a lot of people and having a fogger/humidifier could potentially give the cham a respiratory infection, I will probably wind up just manually misting for the first few weeks. I kinda burnt myself out building this enclosure for him...

I'm being told that I have to get the long uvb lights and that these are no good?

You want to spread the UVB through out your tank. The ones you have will focus the UVB light. If you're looking to save some money on the fixtures just go to home depot and by a T5 or T8 light fixture. I just bought two 2foot T5 light fixtures for 5 dollars each. All you need to do is just get a...

    Question about Fogger and Mister

GOOD GOD.. I really appreciate the depth you went to in explaining everything and even looking everything up. I'm sure this needs to be posted somewhere because I've seen a lot of people searching for DIY misters

    Little help with waterproofing

Yeah I was looking it up and people say it cracks pretty easy. I think i'll just buy a bunch of GE silicone 1 (without the mold protection. From what I read it's aquarium safe so it should be good) and i'll just silicone all the wood inside.

    Little help with waterproofing

What do you think about plastidip? just spraying the inside?

    Little help with waterproofing

Yeah that's what I was thinking for the bottom of the cage. Was just gonna walk in and wonder around aimlessly until I find something, but I might use the pond liner idea to do the narrow walls that held the glass in before I took it out of the china cabinet. I appreciate all your help and ideas.

    Little help with waterproofing

I tried to look for them at home depot, but couldn't find any? Maybe I'm just not searching correctly.

    Question about Fogger and Mister

Yeah I don't plan to, but I'm just curious for a just in case. How loud is the monsoon pump?

    Question about Fogger and Mister

Yeah I was thinking of getting the monsoon rs400, but like you said i've seen so many people complaining about them it scares me. I just heard they break down fast. Do you know if they can run dry like the mistkings?

    Little help with waterproofing

The pond liner might be a good idea, but it would be hell trying to line it up between the narrow wood walls.

    Little help with waterproofing

Yeah I was scared about buying waterproof sealant. I was worried it might be toxic. Didn't think about the latex paint.

    Question about Fogger and Mister

So i'm building a custom enclosure for my brand new panther chameleon from canvas chameleons and know a lot of people are Die hard MistKing, but tbh I wanna try and save a few bucks since I'm already over 800 dollars between the cage and the chameleon so I was thinking of buying a vicks vapor...

    Little help with waterproofing

Soo I bought a nice little ambilobe panther chameleon from Canvas Chameleons and it's my first chameleon, but I decided to do a DIY Custom Enclosure. So I bought a china cabinet and so far everything is going pretty well, but the one thing I'm worried about his how to water proof the inside...
