Finished my enclosure for our first panther chameleon

So we finished building the enclosure and we're just waiting for our panther chameleon that we ordered from canvas chameleons to arrive tomorrow. So please tell me how you think we did for our first time. We are first time chameleon owners. We washed everything we put in there. The bottom is free of substrate. I have 1 basking bulb and 2 horizontal light fixtures 1 UVB and 1 Plant grow. We have a golden Pothos and another ivy (I forget the name of it, but we made sure it was okay). Right now we are watching the temps and humidity to see how they are before we get him tomorrow so i can make adjustments if need be, but so far the temps and humidity are looking good. Basking is at about 85 and ambient is at 75. Humidity is around 40 near the basking area and 68 humidity near the ambient.

Very nicely done, looks good(y) They are for sure fun projects, besides you ran with it.
Same here, I became a first Cham owner also this year. Took the same direction, on a second one now.;)

Cool enclosure build, I would add more horizontal perching options in the top 1/3 of cage though. Really like the overall look you have going luckily Cham will call that palace home!

How did you handle drainage?

Well we didn't get an automatic Mister yet so we are just going to manually mist, but when I replanted the plants I used 50% Coconut Husk and 50% natural sand so with a lot of the misting if directed towards the wood and plants it should absorb a lot of it and dissipate, but then water proofed the entire cage and right now I'm just using puppy pads for the bottom. I'm going to just observe the water on the bottom to see how much is accumulating, but I do plan on buying an automatic mister from mistking in January and i'll probably just drill a whole in the bottom attach some pvc in the hole and a put a bucket at the bottom. I already thought ahead and silicone and waterproof the bottom so it should collect and be able to drain when I do add a misting system.

I have extra 6 ft jungle vines i'll probably add, but theres 3 bars on the back that are horizontal and plus I have 3 6ft jungle vines in the center, but you probably cant see well on the right hand side, but theres drift wood and vines also on the right hand side, but he can easily climb from left to right as of right on 4 different levels. I'm just monitoring the temperature right now and since the UVB lights are inside the enclosure I really don't want him to be ale to get to close to them so I'm trying to keep a decent amount of distance.
