    First chameleon

Thanks, he is getting some nice colours. As for the enclosure I was going to buy a mesh one but I was advised against them, he said mesh is best but I'd struggle to keep it warm unless the heatings on all night. I'll try one in the summer

    Ceramic heater or heat lamp?

The thermostat sensor is about two thirds up the viv so the temp at the top will be about 80 to 85 I've been assured. My chameleon doesn't spent a lot of time up basking so I guess the temp must be ok. I'll try setting the stat to 10 an see if it comes on, just don't want to freeze him. First...

    Ceramic heater or heat lamp?

Thanks for your replys. I got told to have viv at 29 in the day an 23 at night think that works out 75 in the day an 67 at night. I have had it down to 20 or 65 to keep the light low but I think I'll have to get a ceramic heater, don't want to upset him.

    First chameleon

Hi the viv has 4 vents on the back and a mesh hole on the top where the heat lamp sits. This is the viv I was recommended to use as he said glass and mesh vivs are hard to keep warm in the winter. Probably use a mesh enclosure in summer.
