    Another photo of him.

    Shedding?

So this started a day ago around Tillman's eyes. We've had him a month now so I'm guessing it's his first shed with us. I've read that misting more is helpful, but he's just getting over a RI so I don't know if that would be harmful for him. Any suggestions on how to help him during this time?

    Frozen gutload?

Your comment had me cracking up. Lord knows I needed a laugh right now.

How do I slowly introduce handling?

One of the things I've always read was to hold like a branch for him to walk onto. Takes patience to get them comfortable with you...or at least tolerant of you. Also hand feeding I've heard works. The reason I use the word "heard" is because we lucked out with our chameleon in that he was...

Winter is comi-wait...where did it go?!?!

@jamest0o0 I know it's wrong but I had to laugh at that comment because it's true. I remember going to school out there. I never wanted to drive out anywhere because traffic always sucked. The evils of the 405 and the 101.

Winter is comi-wait...where did it go?!?!

@Angelwolf I never thought of potholes being used as an excuse for being late to work. Interesting how states all have different reasons that are legit for being late to work. Out here in it's completely fine to say "I got stuck in traffic" as an excuse for being late. Especially if you work...

Winter is comi-wait...where did it go?!?!

The only state I can think of off the top of my head like that would be Florida, but I could be wrong. Are there other states like that? Aww he's not angry with you...he's probably just doing his Jack Nicholson "Heeeeere's Johnny!" impression. That's crazy! I think our most "drastic"...

Winter is comi-wait...where did it go?!?!

I can see where the significant and quick temperature change would get frustrating. I'm guessing dressing in layers is a must. Those gloomy days must have many people suffering from seasonal affective disorder. It's crazy how that works. My hubs actually suffers from depression the sunnier it...

Winter is comi-wait...where did it go?!?!

I have heard that the winters are harsh out that way. I would just rather deal with that than 103°+ summers and rolling black outs. I guess maybe it's a matter of wanting what you don't have, y'know.

Winter is comi-wait...where did it go?!?!

Ugh I would love to be in that type of weather for a normal winter. Born and raised southern California here and I am so over it. Visited Portland one year in October. Nothing but rain and cold and it was glorious. Gotta live for those 67° days we once in a while get.

Winter is comi-wait...where did it go?!?!

Well we in Southern California just finished our one week of winter. So pathetic. I think we had like 2 days of "rain". Supposed to have rain this week too. Anyone wanna take bets that it doesn't happen? I will never understand why people actually want to move to this state. Too bloody hot...

Chameleon names. What's your chameleon's name?

As some of you may already know, my hubs has a veiled chameleon. His name is Tillman. How that came about was the pet shop employee said he was a she and my hubs liked the name Tilly for her. After being told that she was a he, he rechristened him as Tillman. I refer to Tillman as ours or mine...

    Good vibes needed for Tillman

We finally got to pick Tillman up and he was his green self again. So scared we were going to lose him. When he got into his cage he was so thirsty. He just saw water dripping under a perch and he hung upside down for a total of like 20 seconds drinking! Poor lil guy. Still not eating his...

    Good vibes needed for Tillman

I'm thinking he was referring to a URI. He's an old school vet. He probably just keeps things simple.

Drainage Systems for Cages - get creative!

Any suggestions for a drainage system for an XL reptibreeze cage? Right now we have a bunch of plastic containers under where the drips are.

    Good vibes needed for Tillman

Vet said it was his throat. Not 100% sure on details as the hubs was talking directly to the vet.

    Good vibes needed for Tillman

We took Tillman in to the vet today. He has been alternatingly closing his eyes throughout the day. He stopped eating maybe 2 days ago. Vet said he had an infection and was a bit dehydrated. He gave some antibiotics and vitamin supplements and showed us how to do it. But when we got home and put...

    Eye closed after misting

We're trying to get him to know where his dripper is. Yesterday he figured it out and rank for like 5-6 seconds it seemed. And drank some more a bit later from a lettuce leaf. When you type your message there should be an "upload a file" button. Click on that and it should let you do it.

How do you house your crickets?

I know everyone likes to see everyone's cham cages, but..what about your cricket enclosures? How do you "store" your crickets? We have the big Cricket Keeper and I'm looking for a way to efficiently use that to maintain them. Anyone have any suggestions? Do you put substrate or soil on the...

    Eye closed after misting

Looks like I'll be taking Tillman to a vet as soon as I can get an appointment He's alternating his eyes being closed. He still has a strong grip and reacts when you touch his body, but he didn't eat his usual amount of crickets. Think he just ate 2 or 3. I don't want to wait to see if he "gets...
