Good vibes needed for Tillman

We took Tillman in to the vet today. He has been alternatingly closing his eyes throughout the day. He stopped eating maybe 2 days ago. Vet said he had an infection and was a bit dehydrated. He gave some antibiotics and vitamin supplements and showed us how to do it. But when we got home and put Tillman back in his cage he pooped a big poo and then vomited!!! Right back to the vets we went. Vet said he might have had an allergic reaction and was going to put his cage in the incubator and see how he gets.

Good vibes and prayers requested. We're so worried right now. We tried our best and had updated everything to give him a good home. It's only been a month but he's a part of our family.

Closing of the eyes can be a vitamin deficiency issue. I am curious what infection was present and where?

We finally got to pick Tillman up and he was his green self again. So scared we were going to lose him. When he got into his cage he was so thirsty. He just saw water dripping under a perch and he hung upside down for a total of like 20 seconds drinking! Poor lil guy. Still not eating his crickets so we have to give him Nutri-Cal. Trying to give him his meds and the Nutri-Cal is such a pain! No experience on opening a veiled's mouth so some of the med ended up on my fingers. I just wiped what I could on his mouth and saw some of it go into it when he opened it.

Fingers crossed we get better at getting it IN his mouth and that it helps.

Hope he will be ok.

To get the meds and food into his mouth....try dripping water on the end of his nose and while his mouth is opening and shutting as he drinks ease the meds in and then some food..not too much or too fast so he won't aspirate it. Hope this works! It's lots less stress than force feeding him.
