Thank you for all of the responses I got in terms of his eyes swelling! I will buy an automatic mister. I do have a few live plants in his cage and the only reason that there are not more is because I am waiting for my other plants to get big enough to go in the cage and him not crush them...
So recently my male veiled chameleons eyes have been swelling up in the mornings before I get up to spray him (I only have the time to spray him twice A day because I'm in school...)but as soon as I spray him his eyes deflate back to normal ... I'm not sure if this is because of dehydration or...

I have a male veiled chameleon who is almost 1 year old.
I have him in a large bird cage, that is totally safe with the right temp and fairly right humidity I made sure that he can not get out of the bars of the tank, But i was just wondering if it is safe for me to plant live moss in his tank...
But some days he will eat about 4-5 crickets or mealworms and other days he will eat 5-6 crickets or mealworms and the days that he eats more one of his legs will swell. so its not just that leg sometimes it will be one of his front legs it kinda just depends on the day.
