Nice! And I was looking at your pics of your boy the other day....amazing little guy.
You'll be pleased, the fixtures are quality and fire right up with no flicker. I sparked mine up yesterday and the lighting is amazing. I was next to my crested geckos so I tried it on their enclosure and...
Thanks all.
zlew - Mine came with three nozzles and some Tee fittings. The Mistking site has parts depending on your setup. The Tee fittings work for me because I have a zip drip so the tubing runs to the one nozzle and then another tube back to the zip drip so it creates a continuous...
I haven't done a lot of searching, but I was curious on how many nozzles people use on their 24x24x48 cages?
I was thinking of one in each of the back corners but wondered if that would be overkill. My boy hates the mister so not sure if I just do one and run it a little longer. Currently...
All I can say is wow. Got My fixture today and plugged it in. Blows the socks off my other light hands down. It was shipped in a box that I swear came from Fort Knox. Can't wait to get this bad boy up and running...note to self, stop lagging on finishing the stand! Lighting is important to...
Sweet! I've heard great things about the breeders sponsored on this site, but an added bonus if you have an opportunity for a local purchase.
My boy was a hold back and it was a win win because if he turns out like daddy he could get lucky in the future.
Can't wait to hear when you get your...
I would recommend talking with the local breeder. You may find that your expectations of having x number of chams to pick from may not be realistic. To add to that they may be leary of people knowing where the chams are due to theft and creepers. Talking to them will give you an idea of what...
My boy comes to me when I say "hey buddy" in a sweet voice. I've tried it from a few angles around the cage so he seems to recognize something about me or my voice. Once he gets to the door then he claws at it until I open it or I walk away.
I generally hold him a few minutes and we either go...
Understood. Is he cup feeding, hand feeding, free range, or combination? You want to be sure you switch it up so he can exercise that tongue.
Has he ever had a vet checkup? If not might be good idea in general to plan for one. At minimum just do a fecal so you can rule out parasites. His...
Has he been doing it for awhile or just lately? I just witnessed my first shead since I had my guy and he started to open his mouth and puff his chin two days before I could see he was going to actually shed. I had a strong hunch the shed was coming from loose skin and him rubbing his face on...
I get some from a guy named Josh, he posts his dubias in CL. Type in dubia, he's listed in south san jose. He sells them on the cheap too....like $10 for 30 large.
I just ordered the HO T5 6% after emailing with Todd and doing some post searches on lighting. And yes, he is very nice! I used to pimp my ride, now I just pimp my Cham lol.
Decided to try my hand at wood working again. My skills with the power saw and measurements is not the best, so I was stoked to see how this project is progressing. I'm about 3/4 of the way through, with some sanding still to go, but I couldn't resist putting on a coat of stain to see what it...
What Carol said. If the soil is soggy it can lead to root rot. If it's dry the roots are not getting enough water and you should water the soil to get it moist, but not soggy like mush or mud.
What's the best fixture and light for an ambilobe in a 24x24x48? I'm using an 8" heat fixture on top of the cage so want to make sure I have plenty of space. I'm making a new stand an canopy to frame my reptibreeze and want it to be a really nice show piece. Using the reptisun bulb now but...
Okay, it was sub par? Semantics none-the-less. $22+ for something that is advertised to fit and did not is far from dramatic...it's fact. A fraction of an inch means not having access to the bottom door which some use. Value for dollar it's not worth it IMO. Since this forum isn't setup for...
