Oh, I wanted to tell you my panther will drink from branches if I spray them. I noticed this when I was watering a plant that the mister avoids. I also have my mister so it leaves a bunch of water drops on the top screen...they will be there well after it shuts off. Its piece of mind for me.
Yes, dragon strand with 3 sides solid panels. Only front and top are screen. My humidity was too high all the time with my misting and volume of live plants. Humidity ranges now 60 -85% day down to 30% humidity 2 hours after lights go off. Fan on during day only. Mistking is on for about an...
How do you get him to drink...spray bottle? I travel a lot so automation is key. I'd like to go from my dragon strand to one of these. I hate viewing him through screen. I use a fan now, so I'm not worried about fungus or respiratory issue. My panther is a pain to drink so his water is on...
Omgosh, I have been looking and looking for one like this. I saw a pic of a Mt. Meru and cannot get it out of my mind. He is beautiful! I'm so happy for you, he looks healthy.
I had a similar issue. I have my mistking set for (2) 20 minute mistings + (3) 5-8 minute and after 5 days he pooped. Only half of his enclosure gets misted and it's dry b4 bedtime.
Hydration is key to and I believe helped him through this rough patch.
Best of luck!
My baby cham didn't know how to eat out of the clear cup. Next morning, I allowed a days feeding into the bottom and he ate every one. Clear cups confuse them.
Thanks everyone! I am prepping more plants and have adjusted the misting to go at 9am the first time. He actually shed today and it's completely gone. Yesterday his skin looked wrinkly so I was freaking out about my humidity and added the 1pm misting, thinking he was dehydrated. I want to add...
For a male panther: I have a dragonstrand large breeder cage that I fitted with a screen bottom for drainage. 3 sides are solid. Mistking goes off at 8am 3min, 11am 10min, 1pm 5min, 2pm 3min, 4pm 10min. Lights on timer for 12hrs 8am-8pm. Have a T5 5.0 Reptisun and grow bulb. Temps 95 at...

I'm a total newbie, but this came to mind when I read your post. This link talks about how to cure and prevent vitamin A deficiency.
