As soon as I noticed my cham doing this i upped the misting in the tank and wihtin 2 days took them to the vet, as the sooner the better. Once a cham starts going downhill the decline is quick.
1- there may be something in the...
hi,
i know this wasnt one of your initial concerns, but re the bark. I just lost a chameleon, this week, due to what i think was impaction. You cant keep an eye on them 24/7, so you dont really know if they have swallowed a splinter or a whole lump and if there is nothing for them to choke...
After three long weeks of struggle, Carlos passed away. We had his feaces checked and there were no parasite. The cause was/is completely unknown.
Thanks for all your help everyone, your support was so valuable during this time

I went to see the vet today and although they are experienced exotic vets, I am a bit concerned about the tank they have him in, its very basic, 4 sides glass, wiht sliding front doors, 30 30 x 40cm ish with a curly branch in the middle, no leaves, and a lasagne box for him to hide in (which as...
I went to see the vet today and they have changed their minds and want to keep him in as he has started to go brown. I am a bit concerned about the tank they have him in, its very basic, with a curly branch in the middle, no leaves, and a lasagne box for him to hide in (which as far as i'm aware...
hi all,
the vet rang yesterday and asked if we wanted to ask carlos home. I said to keep him in till monday as he was getting injections for hydration and nursing care.
Today she called me and said he opened one of his eyes a little bit for a while, woo hoo!
Not out of the woods yet...
the vet said, they dont know whats wrong wiht him as he is too small to take blood from, they asked if i want to take him home and care for him. I dont know what to do for the best

The bulge in her eye, is a water sack...
