Finally got him in his new cage! Now just working on some misting troubleshooting as far as how much water makes it out of the cage. Not a fan of damp carpet.

And here I was worried about a little shed on his spines.

Oh yeah, I know someone with a bunch of Dubai roaches, I need to get with him about it. Guessing the cham will eat them since it likes eating worms from a bowl. Check out his pudge tonight :P

Good to hear, thanks. How important are crickets in the diet, or can I replace them with different worms only? He hasn't been catching crickets lately and has been eating super worms. I think it might just be because of the flooding in the cage, but now I'm not sure if he'll be able to catch...

Cool, maybe I'll put him in the shower sometime and see if some of it will come off when I take him out. I'm glad you think he looks like he's gained weight. It's still hard for me to tell. He always looks best when he's sleeping. I don't think he likes his current enclosure since it's lacking...

I just caught him drinking a little from the mister. He seems to have some stuck shed on his little dorsal spikes, should I help him get it off or leave it alone? The new cage is still trucking along slowly but surely. I wish I had more time to work on it and get it done. Pretty much just need...

Thanks, just did a quick search and found the same issues with everyone. The mister itself is just one for outdoors and the timer is a water hose timer. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071KKZ543/ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073XHWK5T/ For drainage, is the best way to use a pan under...

I got this misting system and have it set up to fun for 5 minutes every 6 hours. It doesn't let me get very specific, but I figured for now it's better than nothing. It has only run a couple of times and is already flooding the cage. Is this normal? Is 5 minutes too long? I stopped doing the...

Building stuff is hard. I probably should have just bought the cage that was on sale, lol. I thought I was going to use different dimensions but ended up going with 2 x 2 x 4 anyway to save time and use some of the materials as the size they came in. Not finished yet, but getting there.

He didn't move away from misting this morning. Ate all his super worms again. Last night he stayed on his vine in the shower. Tonight he stayed on his vine and also opened his mouth a few times to catch water. It also looked like he drank some water off of the tile. He also did very well getting...

Yeah, I am not sure how often they were misting him at Petsmart, I just know he's been sitting in the back room for at least 2 months. Thanks for your constant evaluations of him, it really helps me. I'm going to either order or start building his cage today. Should I do 2 showers per day on the...

He wasn't on an easily removable perch when I got home, but did very well getting onto another stick so I could take him out without having to get my hand too close to him, which he doesn't like when he's in his cage. He ate super worms today and most of them were gut loaded on kale. The kale...

Thanks, I checked it out in our reptile medicine book and it's definitely not something I would want to do alone without experience.

Yeah, getting one before they go out of stock is another thing I have to consider. Decisions, decisions.

Is sq fluids usually a one or two person job? The main thing will just be having another pair of hands if that is needed.

I know how with dogs and cats but not chameleons... I could probably do it'd I knew which part of the body works for them, but not without someone to restrain him. I would bring him to work but our vet that works with reptiles more often is out of town. Another vet may be able to help me. Hmmm.

Nice. I'll probably order that and modify it as needed. I don't think I would save that much money making the cage... I more wanted to build one for the enjoyment, and extra customization, but I also want to make sure he doesn't have to wait too long. Shipping from there isn't until 5-7 days...
