    My Veiled Chameleon setup

Well you should be happy with yourself that's a pretty good effort for a new person getting your cham to eat more by using a varied diet I offer my chams roughly 8 different insects but spread over a few months

    My Veiled Chameleon setup

If this is your first setup I would say you have done excellent I have seen some horror stories. My youngest veiled eats between 10-20 small crickets a day but he's a pig my juvenile will eat roughly 10 mediums. Here's a picture of my juveniles just for you to compare setups

    Possible Good Mesh?

I prefer a stainless steel mesh or a steel mesh coated in plastic remember heat is involved so the top screen mesh will need to be heat resistant so a bare metal would be best

New to Chams and have some questions.

How much uv exposure do Jackson's require? as I linked him that as he's putting the light over mesh so by the time it hits the cham it would be about 5% give or take

I don't as I'm based in Scotland and those domes are not great coil uv bulbs are terrible and do not provide enough uv for you cham I'm not sure if arcadia sells in the US but I'm sure you can find an equivalent

New to Chams and have some questions.

You can lightly sand the bamboo if thats the only thing you can get a hold of willow is a better thing to get also I'm not a fan of cork or foam backgrounds cause I picked up a second hand Viv and the foam was infested with insects and is a nightmare to clean

That's a custom muji chameleons 2ftx2ftx4t mesh front and top with plastic sides with hydroflow base made the wooden base myself I drilled the plastic in places so I could zip tie the trellis and some vines in place. Not a cheap setup but so worth it

New to Chams and have some questions.

Drainage is non existent in an exo unless you go full bio like I have but that's later down the line once you have got cham ownership down. Live plants are a must to keep up humidity but you must replace the soil with a safe reptile soil unless your cham eats lots of soil there's no reason to...

New to Chams and have some questions.

I've being using an exo terra for my two males for the last 18 months zero issues and the fans stabilise the vivs massively

New to Chams and have some questions.

If it's a glass Viv I personally use a computer fan to circulate the air as it's being known that glass exo terras dont allow a lot of airflow and can cause respiratory issues in chameleons. Also make sure you glass Viv isn't one with a glass top or that will stop your uv and heat going through

    Upgrade for my male Yemen

Hello all Haven't posted for a while so here is my latest enclosure for my male Yemen cham upgraded from an exo terra 60x90x45 to a muji chameleons 2ftx2ftx4ft mesh front and top solid plastic sides hydro flow base and made my own stand that just needs a door. Full bio setup with a massive...

    °•New owner•°

Hi I'm also quite new to owning chams but have a male veiled for the last 4-5 months. As for wrong I don't like saying that as it's not fair really I would suggest you change the ceramic heater for a heat lamp I use a 100 watt komodo basking lamp roughly 4 inches above his screen top. The Uv...
