I didn't think I could use jasmine, I saw a few but they were $17. If the price drops I will get one, I like the yellow flowers.
Sounds like a plan, I only checked out Walmart and Home Depot today.
I plan on misting a few times a day, I usually work at 3pm so I mist first thing in the...
I can't find any decent plants, must not be in season. I am considering using a combo of fake plants and real plants, a real pothos from the top with the vines, and then just a fake 3' tree with good climbing for the cham?
My only concern is the humidity, I live in Arizona and it's very dry.
Since I am not making a window in the back, just the front and sides, should I mount a small fan on top for better airflow and ventilation, or will the convection created by the heat be enough? I have a ceiling fan in the same room I could utilize as well.
Thanks man.
I just got done adding a trim around the side windows, around the screen, makes it look 10x nicer IMO. I am working on the drainage this afternoon, probably going with my idea to use a plastic tarp around the bottom, to catch water and make it run down into the plant soil.
Most likely some sort of panther, I am still researching the different types to see what I will enjoy the most, otherwise a veiled will work too.
I didn't want to make a new thread, so here is my quesiton:
I found fake vines at the dollar store today, they look exactly like the bendable vines...
Hmm, I don't want to take the risk so I am hoping someone who has used one in an enclsoure will chime in.
They had 3' trees for $20 at walmart, a little pricey but I love the braided stem, and the foilage it provides looks perfect for the cham.
I don't want to make a new thread for this, so I...
I got some more work done this weekend, used some no-voc acrylic latex paint, my fiancee picked out an awesome dark green color. I used some aquarium caulking and sealed the entire enclosure, then painted about 4 coats on. We got it all screened up besides the top since I need a different type...
I would think so to stop the cham from getting the soil.
I like the pothos since it grows easily with almost no dirt needed, you can break off a leaf and start rooting it in a cup of water, I love the long vines it grows.
Anyone hang a pothos from the top and let the vines go around the cage? I am worried that my cham might crawl up the plant, so I wasn't sure if I should just build a shelf.
I have a small pump from a "desk fountain" that I was thinking of somehow working to my drainage, and running a tube up to the top from my bucket underneath, and mounting a drip attachment onto the hose and let it drip during the day with the lights.
Anyone ever tried this?
I also have a...
