It Is only dangerous If you notice your chameleon likes to climb on the the mesh top, which some chameleons do... Myne sits on the screen and that will probley change when my chameleon is an adult.

If he eats alot he could also bask constantly as well. Im sure If It would hurt him being under the light he wouldn't stay there long.

Sorry, yeah sorry I didn't mean to go off topic with your thread, I just made my account last night and needed quick opinion on my veiled age. Yes I know veileds are super territorial and thats why I have an extra cage, I dont believe supervised visits between the two Is harmful at a young age...

Well she Is still small and young. She was already In a cage with a male at the store i bought ehr from. I want to try and see If they will get along, thats why I want them the same age. And If they do not work well together than I will seperate them with spare cage

really? someone tried telling me she looked a little big for 3 months as my guess. I want to buy a male next week, so I had to estimate a good age and size so If I introduce her to a male he will be a similar size and wont eat her. Thanks!
