oh right - i did wounder why when i cleaned it with water, there was nothing on the ear bud (when he was bit before, when i cleaned the bud was red!) he has been eating crickets today!!! so that would make perfect sence!!!!

i thought it looked like a burn, but his basking temp is very low - 82 & its on a thermosate dimmer, so it is very rarly on full.
it could be a cricket bite, i cant see any in his viv, but he has a backing in there & they hide down the back, but as soon as he see them, he normal eats them...
i've jest been cleaning montys viv, as he turned i noticed a black mark on his jaw, i got a wwet ear bud & wiped it, but nothing came off.
i have done my best to take pic's, but he keeps grbbing the camera & wanted to climb on it.
the mark wasnt there earlier, so i am woundering if it is a...
just a quick up date - the dripper was set up yesterday, didnt see monty drink from it, but he was watching it, set the dripper up again to day & he has been drink from it.
its helping with the humidity in the viv, i have it dripping onto a live plant, & some of the drips fall onto the floor...
i have a flex - but i use it only for when i am cleaning monty's viv & i'll be using it in the summer (fingers cross) for him to use in the garden.
they are not very stable.
monty will be 11 weeks on monday, at the monet his basking temp is set to 80 (26), can this be incresrred now he is older? & if so, at what temp/

my veiled has just turned 10 weeks, i have had him since he was 4 weeks old & i totlly agree with you, he grows daily!!!!!!!!!!!!
i had another veiled before monty, but he sadly died after i had him for 5 weeks, i was told that rocky was 6 months when i bought him, but i am now doubting that...

yep, i have a veiled, he is only 9 weeks, so still small.
his viv is not that tall, will change it as he gets bigger, so couldny get a bigger plant.
havent put it in yet as wanted to see what every one thought of the plant, so will get it washed & put in...

i bought a ficus yesterday for my cham, i've looked on the data base & the pic on there looks different from my one - i have posted a pic, but on the lable it just says folige plant, so can any one tell me if it is safe before i put it in with my cham

i'm looking into buying monty a real plant, as he is still young, his viv is still quite small, i have seebn a ficus microcarpa ginseng & woundered if this would be ok for him?
do i need to change the soil?
is it ok for him or the crickets/locust to eat?

my cham is behind my desk, & as soon as his lights go out, i wrap a towel around his viv, turn the lights off & work in the dark - i check on him & he's always asleep - i take the towel off when i am finished & i know i wont wake him.
