ya, Littlefoot does that too. his is coiled up most of the time except when hes crawling around, hunting, etc.
He gets his first silkies today! hopefully he will enjoy them.
He is getting more and more territorial too, the first 2 weeks I had him he would come right up to me and climb on...
the geniuses working at the pet shop slid the top of the cage open and he was hanging on the inside of the top of the cage with one leg through the screen. When they slid it open, his leg just got snapped. she had splinted it and gave him antibiotics and he seems perfectly fine (he actually...
thanks gesang.
She is also the dr that cared for my other guy, Littlefoot, when he had a broken leg. It was a total clean break, the bone was actually sticking out of his leg and everything, and she nursed him back to health and he is doing great now. So I have confidence in her. I just hope...
Well I took my 3 month old male veiled to the vet yesterday and she said she needs to keep him for a couple days to run some tests and see whats the matter. She was worried about the fact that he keeps his eyes closed so much. Add to that the fact that he hasnt been eating, and she decided to...
my veiled, Spike, is having problems too. He keeps his eyes shut a lot and will like suck his whole eye into his head while its shut for a second, then kinda bulge it out a little bit. Hes not eating either... I'm taking him to the vet tomorow so they can run some tests. I've only had my little...
just a simple plastic cup works
if the crickets are jumping out, you could remove their back legs. I heard thats a good thing to do anyways for young chameleons as the legs are spiny and could possibly hurt the babies mouths
yeah im trying to get mine to bowl feed
one loves it! as soon as i drop anything into the bowl, he rushes over and perches over the top of it and starts snapping the insects up like crazy. my other guy... hes having issues catching on i think. I'm taking him into the vet tomorrow, he hasnt...
It drops below 50% between mistings but never below 40% in the cage. I have a schefflera and a bamboo in each side along with a few branches and some fake vines. I just called and my normal vet is on vacation until friday... So Im trying to find another one.
I have 2 R-Zilla combo light fixtures with timers, they each have a red heat/night lamp, and a day lamp and Reptisun 5.0 on a 12 hour cycle. It stays right around 75-80 degrees in the cage and gets closer to 90 right under the heat. I keep it at 50-60% humidity by use of a basic drip system and...
thanks for the good ideas guys. I started using a cup and one of my guys is eating great, seems to love it. my other little guy ignores the crcikets regardless of if they are in the cup or not. i made a thread on it here:

any ideas?
hey i was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to get him to eat. I have 2 young male veileds. I have one very large cage with a divider between the 2 guys so they cant see or get to each other, and the younger of the 2 (Spike) will not eat. They were housed together for a long time at the...
well i had seen in a number of places that if you use a fine screen like window screen that the chams can get there claws stuck in and it could potentially remove their claws and cause infection etc...
but its off to the hardware store to get me some aluminum screen! thanks for the help. ill...

Im using 1/4 inch screen for it, but heres my problem: The darn crickets keep jumping out of the screen. So then im chasing crickets around the house...
