    Monty at 8 months!

The third picture made my heart melt :) He's an adorable little guy!

UV light ? Screen caging ?

This. Right here. He was given valid citations. Chose to ignore them. And continues saying its been "proven" that iggys and beardies can go without it. Anyone who knows Anything about science knows you don't prove things. You support them. Especially when he has some of our resident vets telling...

    He's here, he's here!

Just some updates over the past couple months :)

    not for beginners...

Laurie is exactly right. Honestly, I became a cham owner completely by accident. I rescued one crossing the street and had no idea what it was :O Honestly, doing the research you've done so far puts you ahead of a lot of other current owners. People on here refer to them as "four legged...

Chameleon Genetics-- How much does each parent contribute?

I've heard the female contributes more traits that end up being dominant. When I was initially looking through sires more than one person, I can't remember who, said that most males from a clutch will end up resembling the dam's sire. Idk how valid this is, but it is what I've gathered.

    Panthers & Fruit?

I've read other threads that say there's nothing wrong with them eating fruits and veggies if they will! That being said I've also seen the ones that are okay to eat. Strawberries, grapes, apples etc. So! How much fruit can they eat? I have a 4 month old ambilobe and he loves apple. His...

    Dinofuel before and after use.

My panther has recently taken to fruit. Dusting a few slices of apple here and there he really seems to go for it. And I agree with synapse, he's definitely more active.

    Kissing your Chameleon

My justification is, I've had so many reptiles over the years that I've built of a resistance to salmonella. :) So if I randomly come down with it in the next week... I'll know I jinxed myself!

    New chameleon

Sigh. I know you're right, just figured maybe she'd see past her ego. Might as well be dealing with petsmart. :(

    New chameleon

You asked about his health. The quickest way for a chameleons health to deteriorate is poor husbandry. You stated the tank you kept him in, and gave details that lead us all to believe your husbandry and his surroundings are what could be causing this issue that could be a sign of something...

    New chameleon

The 100w light is most likely too hot. Especially in a glass aquarium. Which is also something you'd wanna change! As Mcleod said, they need high humidity, but they also need air flow. Stagnant air can cause RI's as well as a breeding ground for bacteria.

    Baby panther advice

I'm with Camimom. Picture #2 of the first set you posted shows no bulge at all. And the most recent ones there doesn't seem to be one either. So if you paid more for a male hopefully he's a late bloomer... and if not she's bound to be a gorgeous female.

    BBC Madagascar special!!!

I saw your post last night when there was only ten minutes left. Totally bummed. Thanks for the video! :D

    Drum Roll Please.

I used to live in Hawaii too. Hunting chams is something few people get to experience  He's a good looking boy! I hope everything works out :)

How much should I be feeding?

Haha, its okay! That was your experience! And that's really all I was wanting to know. I generally feed him about 30 minutes after I turn his lights on and he's had a chance to warm up. Thank you for your input :)

How much should I be feeding?

I have a 4 month old ambilobe male. Prior to getting him I did a bunch of research, and the general consensus was 12-15 small/med crix a day. Recently though I've seen people saying feed them 12-15 twice a day... or feed them as much as they'll eat... I know overfeeding can be detrimental to...

    Cricket Madness

Dubia roaches are a dream. I've always hated dealing with crix. And they stink and jump and just bleh! Once you get over the roach factor, dubias are easily my all time favorite feeder. :)

    black spot under mouth

Hopefully it's something as simple as that! He's a good looking cham! Shedding would just make him look better :)

    black spot under mouth

Its hard to see the spot. The pictures are a little out of focus. But my friends chinese water dragon had a similar looking spot from what I can see and naturally assumed mouth rot. After he took it to the vet they determined it was a burn and he just needed to put neosporin (or something...

    420 reptile show

I didn't know hemp was illegal...? I have hemp flip flops and bracelets. When I lived in Washington they have an actual "Hempfest". And it's a pretty big deal. And I know Colorado has something similar in Boulder. So at least here and there it's definitely legal.
