Superworms have very little Chitin compared to meal worms. Ive never heard of a reptile dieing from being constipated from eating supers.

I offer superworms and crickets together every day and have never had an issue.

If u have a screen top id go for the reptisun 10.0. The screen filters out a lot of the uvb

U should have no substrate or water bowl. They wont drink standing water and if he swallows the substrate he could die

Do any of you rip the back legs off crickets before putting them in the feeding bowl? I read this on a website and have been doing it for two weeks now with great success. The crickets dont die or really change their behavior at all. They still scurry around the bowl but can't jump out.

The back foot will have a noticeable white bump on the back of it if its a male

If its broken it will heal on its own but for peace of mind I would recommend a vet check

Schefflera's are my favorite. I got a 3 foot one from wal mart for $12.

Chams dont produce enough poop for a bio active set up to be necessary.

Great thread jimmy. I wish I could find a cage that size for $120. My thread was about just buying a cheap cage like a 24x18x24 bird cage for like $20 bucks at the swap meet just so I could get my guy to soak up some sun for like 30 minutes a day. Not a permanent enclosure.

Does anybody use a bird cage to let their cham soak up some sun outside? Nothing too fancy just a cage with a stick and a little artificial plant?

Anybody ever use these as feeders? I may have a buddy who will be giving me a ton for free. Any tips? Temps, humidty, substrate? IM not too concerned with the breeding. I think he may be giving me like 100+ adults and a ton of babies, so I may be using them just as a treat instead of superworms...

I use a spare ten gallon tank with 3 inches of oatmeal, lots of egg crate on top of the oatmeal, and a food and water bowl. The water bowl is full of fluckers cricket quencher.

Out of the top 2 which is the better cal with D3? And the bottom one doesn't say D3 on it so am I safe to assume it has none in it? I want to use it for his every day feedings and the better of the top for two feedings a month
