Need to find a home in KC

Thank you! I hope so too! We found a gal at a local nursery when we were looking for cage plants that if push comes to shove we can go ask her if she'd be willing, but thought I'd check here first! And I REALLY don't want to go out on the limb of craigslist or anything like that because that's...

Need to find a home in KC

Hi all, I was super active about a year ago and then life happened and I got Leif's care down and had fewer questions. Our family has grown by 3 cats, total of 4 now, and 2 of them are 4 months old and one is just over a year.... so 3 kittens, a three legged adult cat, and a cham create a hectic...

Do I need to worry yet?

I think I will for sure try to shower him once a week!! It's crazy. My boyfriend doubts me as to how active Leif was in the shower, I'll have to prove it to him! ;)

Do I need to worry yet?

It's the picture. You can't see his ribs all the time. But mostly crickets for now.

Do I need to worry yet?

So I think he likes the shower a bit too much. I haven't had to deal with jumping chams until now...:eek::eek: that is terrifying. I was so afraid he was going to hurt himself trying to get more water. I eventually just held him directly into the shower. He loved it! Eye is still closed...

Do I need to worry yet?

I've never tried an actual shower. I might try. I have a pretty portable hibiscus I can put him on.

Do I need to worry yet?

So y'all know how much of a worry wort I am. A few days ago Leif finished a shed and now he isn't opening his left eye. I've tried misting him really well directly and kept his cage really damp today. Also, am I seriously being a hypochondriac or is something wrong with his legs? This pic is...

Currently he's in the Repti-Breeze starter cage...

So obviously this was a few weeks ago and now the hibiscus is almost ready to bloom and touching the top of the cage!! But thank you!! :)

    Recommendations for indoor plants

Haha! The concept of it kinda boggles my mind. it's hard for me to conceptualize how it works. And we really want to get a dragonstrand so might just wait for that upgrade. ;)

    Recommendations for indoor plants

We took the pvc bottom out totally and set it on top of a window screen. The whole thing is on a wire frame shelf unit with a Tupperware below the cage. it works really great actually!

Yes :) I currently hand mist with a presser/pump sprayer. works fantastically. I spray him really really well in the morning and in the evening a few times.

Oh my... Either way, I learned that I shouldn't keep the fogger running for the full 12 hrs the lights are on and have made the alteration to my timer. I'm in MO so it gets rather humid here in the summer. I will for sure have a room humidifier going in the winter. Thanks y'all! :)

Surely I can't be the only one...

Currently in MO/KS (I literally live on the state line.... I'm in MO, neighbors across the street are KS) but the boyfriend is from NC and we are talking about moving back in a few years. I can't even fathom living within hours of the beach AND mountains... and it's so normal to him! HA! I look...

Societal stigma around reptile and insect keepers

My boyfriend, who has owned just about the same as @RedMountainHome, always says "You're already a better reptile owner than I ever was!" He's amazed at how much research I do and all the new info I bring home about Leif!

Societal stigma around reptile and insect keepers

I'm a 25 yr old female. My boyfriend, admittedly, got me at least interested in the idea of a reptile. One day we just got Leif, and now I want ALLL the other scale babies. I'm getting used to the ideas of 'creepy crawlies' because I grew up a pansy and don't like bugs!! :ROFLMAO: But I, as...
