Wish I could help with CBB, but I'm not aware of others producing them. I know of a few places that do get wild caught K. boehmei in from time to time though. I can let you know if I see any if that would help :)
I got a nice clutch from this pairing, and have another clutch incubating as well. The correct incubation has been hard to identify. I am doing a diapause of 60 to 50 for 3 months after 1 month of daytime temps of 72-74 and nighttime temps of 65-68. Then raising the day/night temperature (to...
Not really. they need some distinct care compared to larger chameleons but lots of the problems caring for them have been due to most being wild caught. CBB individuals like him on the other hand, are quite hardy
Some new b. Thieli caught in the act of hatching, and a gravid b. Superciliaris inspecting a possible nesting site. I’ve been experimenting with providing a ball of debris/moss for some brookesia to see if that helps trigger egg laying in an easy to access spot. So far so good!
Also included is...
Hello,
I have some CBB trioceros ellioti juvenile females available. I feel that females actually make the best pets compared to males due to their often calm and friendly personality. This is a small species. I also have a larger subadult female from a different bloodline that I may part with...
Hello,
I am making available one juvenile captive bred and born calumma linotum. This is a very small species that only gets around 3-4.5 inches in total length. I’m not aware of a time when they’ve been made available as captive bred before.
Photos of juveniles and parents shown. Ideally this...
Thanks for tagging me (here and on FB). I produce brookesia species of many varieties but at the moment most of them go to zoos or conservation organizations. (Just sent off another CBB stumpffi to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens :) )
I will probably have some CBB B. thieli available to the...
Hello!
Firstly, you might find the below interesting. I compared offspring weights of t. ellioti born to wild caught mothers, to offspring weights of mothers that were captive bred or kept for at least 5 months in captivity, and found that offspring born to wild caught ellioti females are...
Don't buy wild caught unless your entire goal is to buy many pairs of them and breed them to establish CBB in the hobby. It is not worth it at all otherwise. Wild caught lats tend to die very easily (notoriously die quickly) and aren't a good choice if you want pets or haven't dealt with wild...
