Why does my cham lick everything?

Mine is called Slurp for that exact reason..he does that when he is either on new territory, or if I have just cleaned his enclosure. I think he might be testing or marking the territory.

    Best Linear UVB Bulbs?

Was just going through some older threads and came across this which confirmed my thougts of a 10.0 having a better uvb output and still not as close to a chams natural environment.. I have been wondering though how it would affect montane species such as k.multi and jacksons..what are your...

    Opinions on Grow Lights

Hey everyone, I have decided to use grow lights in my cham cages to offer a brighter light and help the plants growth and health thus increasing the rainforest feel and humidity.. What in your opinion are the best grow lights ...led`s / compacts ? Energy efficiency plays a big role in this...

    The Levels of Chameleon Keeping

It would not be based on how many chams you have managed to own and care for successfully..imho if you know the husbandry, temps, humidity, gut loading and supplementation of a veiled, that would already place you in a level 3-5 or so. Lets face it, i have only kept chams as reptiles and...

    The Levels of Chameleon Keeping

phahahaha! That cracked me right up! True about the sausage measuring contest although I really think it would be beneficial in some way. Have to say that this forum has a lot of humble members from what i have seen till now. Bs is always around and anyone can smell that! Everyone should have...

Always dark unless he is asleep

Husbandry is looking fine. You need plain calcium no d3 with every feeding, calcium with d3 every two weeks and multivit every two weeks too. Chameleons like privacy so I would add more live plants, high ones that occupy a good part of the cage. That should make him feel more at home. As for the...

    Medicating with Panacur again..?

The reason I am writing this thread is get a second opinion..bout 3 weeks ago i found out that my k.multi had parasites as was lethargic, not eating, and sleeping during the day. Took him to the vet and he found round worms..gave him panacur for 3 day with very little change..re visited and was...

    Would It Work ?

If you could post a picture it would be more helpful however if it has the right dimensions and could be modified anything is possible with a bit of diy. Holes at the bottom for drainage and ventilation is doable..pc fans work great in a non mesh enclosure

    help sick veiled chameleon

I understand your position of not having the money to spend on a vet ...the reality is that, just like any other living thing, chams do get ill and will need PROFESSIONAL help. I really wish that I could give you some advise but I have no idea what those white markings are coming out of her...
