Maybe it's just my cynical mind but if one of my chams was lost in a tree would I
A; Be doing everything I could to find it?
B; Go online and tell people I've lost it and post some pics?
I might post the story afterwards but I'd be way too busy searching to reach for my phone and start posting.
Right now the issue is with eye and not where this post sits in an old thread.
So you've tried the shower and so far no joy? It's an eye issue and really needs a good vet.
If you live near where you got the calci powder from, I can reccomend a really good chameleon vet for you.
There may be...
You can get a picture of a cham cleaning it's eyes but multiple pics? This cham appears to keeping that one closed.
Try the shower and if no rapid change, needs a trip to a good vet with cham experience.
As @Brodybreaux25 says, waterfalls are a no no. The reasoning for this is they pose a huge risk of contamination due to faeces, dead bugs etc. Add to the heat in the enclosure and it's a sure way to create a bacterial soup.
IF however you could do it, permanently plumbed in fresh water in and...
Really sorry to hear that. I was hoping that the jacksons keepers here would respond. I'm sure they will anyway when they read it.
It could be absolutely anything, especially with a youngster, nothing to do with husbandry, so don't be too hard on yourself.
I drop cubes of thawed frozen gutload in. It's made up of blended fruits and veggies. They demolish it every time.
I just clean them off and feed them.
Looks just like our male. He's H+Y Snow Eclipse Het TA+ Patternless.
To be honest it means nothing to me but my daughter understands it lol.
Yours does look a tad rotund so I reckon eggs incoming.
Agree on the nano's. In a larger tank you are limited in choice by having to keep reef safe and community fish.
I've seen species that I thought I must have that and then found they will eat my corals or its tank mates.
I've got a 140 reef tank and a nano and being honest, I prefer the nano...
It's really very problematic how people claim to take 'offense' these days. Certainly nothing to apologise for. Had you mistakenly given wrong info then yes, but if someone CHOOSES to take offense, then that's their problem, not yours. From what I read there was nothing to cause genuine offense...
Please tell me that's not how you are keeping him? He's climbing background as he has nothing else to climb on. Did you do any research beforehand or did you just get him on a whim?
Please, please, please post all the info plus better pics and understand that chams need very specific husbandry...
Totally get you wanting to help the little guy but if you put them together it's a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire. Not good for either animal and at best will cause stress and at worst death.
All my thinner lines, dripper and mister are done with the stuff that bars clean beer lines with. I use an old pump and pump it in a loop for 30 mins or so, then swap for water and pump that round to rinse.
I pop all the fogger pipework in a bath of hot water with some bleach. Rinse very well and allow to dry outside. Just the flexi then vinegar is good to, soak in a bucket or bowl.
