What fogger do you use?

So apparently my fogger either has a leak or the seal between the bottom and top piece are not connecting totally because I just went to fill it for tonight and yeah water on my just in case catch mat below it (thank god I bought it).

Does yours run more then one enclosure? I was going to buy a second one for the new enclosure but now I may need to rethink this and just buy one that is better to run two..... :(

No point in linking to mine given the miles between us but it produces enough fog for 2 chams and a BRB and only set at 70% of max.

It connects to 22mm pvc pipe and using T and 90* pieces, feeds to the setups. You may need to fine tune by restricting the outputs to get just the right amount of fog in each enclosure but it works great.

It is another cleaning job to add to your schedule but you'll be on top of that as ever.

Yeah I am having trouble finding anything that looks like it might work online. So I am going to have to go to the store I think and see what I can find for cool mist humidifiers... See if they can be tweaked to add a pipe to the top. UGG>

Most can be. Just make sure to buy a top blow out one for easier pipe fitting

Hey Kev... Do you have any tips for how to get two pvc pieces unhooked because the female that put them together might have over tightened them? :) One piece is on the top back of the enclosure and the other is on the inside top back of the enclosure. So the screen is in between them. I may have to rework my set up but I am not sure how the heck to get these things to let go of one another. And are there any tricks to make sure that it does not happen again. I swear I did not tighten them down but for the life of me I can't get them a part.

I'm sure this is a common design. The flexi pipe pushed onto the 22mm pvc no problem so very easy to do.

I take it they haven't been glued with poly pipe glue? If that's the case, forget it lol. If they have just been push fitted, they should twist and pull apart. You could try warming with a hair dryer but don't burn your hands when you grab them.

I reworked mine because I was told that I needed smooth pipe to let the moisture not build up and sit it in.

See the white elbow that connects to the straight white piece? The elbow is on the outside of the cage and the straight piece is on the inside. These are stuck... Got any ideas. It is really hard to try to unhook them since one is in the cage and the other is outside. I made a serious design flaw when I did this.

They screw together... I posted a pic of what it is... Do you think a hairdryer would help?

You are right about the flex pipe. I just give it a shake out to get rid of excess water and clean it with the rest of the pipes.

Threaded plastic isn't used over here. Everything is push fit using a glue or what's called speed fit that won't come apart again.

You can try heat but other than that, you need 2 sets of grips to hold and twist.

Next time use a smear of petroleum jelly on the threads lol

What's the best way that you've found to clean the flexi pipe? I was thinking about just soaking it today cuz I'm due for a deep clean on my enclosure. Hot water and diluted vinegar?

I pop all the fogger pipework in a bath of hot water with some bleach. Rinse very well and allow to dry outside. Just the flexi then vinegar is good to, soak in a bucket or bowl.

Did it work or are you at the emergency room with your daughter?
LOL gonna have to try it this afternoon. I could not sleep last night stressing the fogger leaking so I was up until 3am Pacific time. I have to go see if I can find a different flex hose I can use as well. Right now I pull off the clear hose to clean and leave all the pvc pieces but it is not very friendly. So I need to try to find something that will fit the current humidifier nozzle head. It did not leak so I think the pressure of the clear hose pulled it just slightly over yesterday and that was what caused the leak.
