Chameleons will make a snort sound, could it be that? My panther does it most often when I'm messing around his enclosure. Sort of like a 'piss off, you're in my territory' gesture I think.
You would probably be better off buying cricket crack, bug burger, or making your own. The ingredients in the mazuri sound like stuff pet stores buy wholesale to feed their crickets.
Your misting durations need to be at least a few minutes long. My MistKing is set to go off 5 times a day (upped it for winter and because of my fireplace) with minimal 5 minutes and max 8 minutes. Most people recommend minimal 3 times a day for several minutes each session. Of course this...
You NEED to find a different vet! The other thread you made shows severe issues with her health. This is not something that will get better on it's own.
I really wouldn't worry over just one day of not eating or drinking. Some chameleons never drink while their owners are watching. How long do you mist for and how many times? Are you using a dripper, hand mister or automatic misting system?
She needs a vet ASAP! Along with the probable mbd, there's swelling going on with her upper lip, nasal cavities and throat. Hopefully she will recover!
With locale crosses, you really get a 'wild card' as far as looks go. My panther is several locales and I picked him because I wanted something different that could show the many variations of panthers. He looks pretty similar to his sire (Tormund Giantsbane) and has a myriad of color combinations.
If you can post a pic of the feces, that would help. The white part is the urate and means proper hydration. The orange tip means slight dehydration. How are you providing water for the chameleon to drink?
If you don't already have one, I highly recommend a golden pothos plant. They are water tolerant and grow quickly. Would fill out your enclosure nicely in my opinion.
Well he looks great, awesome PJs! Panthers are known to chew on things so it can be normal. I think it's a stage they go through when they are 'teenagers'. Panthers don't eat greens so hanging the veggies won't do anything but spoil. My two year old panther did it occasionally when he was around...
Please don't be so defensive. We're all here to help each other out. With that being said, your enclosure needs some work. I'm glad that you're upgrading to a larger cage. You need MUCH more foilage for him to feel secure. The coil type of uvb bulb you have is acceptable but not recommended...
