Once you go T5 HO you don't go back...at least until something more advanced comes out. I love them!

Hey Frank, did you see that Bill Strand's graminea are just getting the green coloration now? He posted it on the Dragon Strand Facebook page I believe.

    great stuff for backgroud ?

Edit....I just saw you said "screen cage". Oops. I have never attached either spray foam or cork board to screen.

    great stuff for backgroud ?

Cork background secured with silicone is the easiest. I have used spray foam insulation to make backgrounds for my Rieppeleon brevicaudatus enclosures, but I can see a lot of inconveniences with cleaning, etc., for larger animals.

    New Quads! Imported Feb/15

I love them Mike, and considering the species you're working with, they may be perfect. I've had equal success with screen and glass, but like the look of naturally planted enclosures personally, even if the chameleons don't care. Maintenance is very easy with this type of enclosure once you...

    New Quads! Imported Feb/15

Great points and suggestions above my post. In fact, I've used glass enclosures as described for the past 3-4 years. Here are some photos from yesterday.

    New Quads! Imported Feb/15

Janet, I know it can be frustrating when you are doing your best and feel disparaged. It has happened to all of us at one point or another. I do not think buying a group of WC quads is a "good" choice to start out, but you have them, and I hope you are successful so that we can all benefit...

    Getting Prepared

This will work, but they are unreliable and seem to break a lot. Less than $200 though. They are not accurate either so you need to play with it with your own thermometer inside to see what you need to actually set it at...

This may end up being a steep learning curve.

    T. quadricornis eggs

I don't know Perry. I sort of expect WC males to be more aggressive breeders in many cases with chameleons. I'm sure it could be a number of things. Chris Anderson had mentioned a study on raising chameleons in groups rather than singly. Was Nero raised alone or in a group Tylene?

    T. quadricornis eggs

That would be great Laurie. I don't know that I'm optimistic about Cheryl's first gravid girl's clutch. I cannot tell from the pic for sure of course but only 2 of the eggs really look good...but I'm hoping I'm wrong!

    T. quadricornis eggs

Perry, this is the first clutch for either of them. I never named them  I guess I should ;)

    T. quadricornis eggs

Yes Tylene! Woohoo! Hopefully Nero will find he likes the other girl soon. She's big and ready to breed but has no suitors at the moment. Ha.

    T. quadricornis eggs

Yes, luckily with quads it's not that long of a wait (4 1/2 to 5 months).
