I dont have a free range, I will be doing one in few months at my balcony where the sun shines from sunrise to sunset (cant wait for it) so he will probably be living there all time during summer.
I dont know if its karma or what, but when I was trying to feed him today, he climbed on me, was calm and was just sitting on my shoulder, not even opening his mouth. So I let him wonder on my table and stuff, gave him a house tour and put him back in his cage without any problem.
Thanks...
Oh well Chuck, that wasnt needed, but was funny though...
I have been trying to offer him crickets, dubias and zophobias. He eats any of them, but only a single piece or two.
Hi guys, I have 5 months old veiled. Its my first one, I had him since he was 2 months old. He is loosing interest in his food lately (which should be normal I guess) while everything else is just fine. Each time I open his cage and try to do something in there, he jumps at me, grabs my hand...
You are right with that one carol. Thank you all guys for the assurance!
Ridgebax, as a substrate I used organic turf with a sand 1:1. There is also half inch of vermiculite on the bottom. There is no drainage, because there isnt needed one. I had to sift the turf so its just a dust with no...
Hey carol, I am talking about the spot between his eyes where the casque starts, its pretty noticeable on those three pictures. Its been black since last week and remains black even during night.
His whole terrarium is here: http://imgur.com/rHdoNuU
Hi guys, I do think this might be a burn. He is 3,5 months old veiled in a tank with screen top. I am using Solar Raptor HID 70 W Flood lamp. I believe it might be a little closer than the distance they advise to keep. What should I do now? He doesnt seem to worry about that at all, I hope its...
I am aware of that, I have my 24x24x48 DIY cage ready to be build in next few months. I just wanted to create something nice to look at for now and this was the cheapest version. :)
EDIT: The picture was taken 3 weeks ago, I can really see how fast he grew.
Thanks for appreciation Jeff, he seems to like his home. All you see is made by me, even the background which took me 3 days to finish, it was hard to fit it in the tank so the crickets cant climb behind it and between the bowls. I can pretty much take it out anytime for easy cleaning. I used...
Finally got it all going. It is self made from old fish tank, top is all screen. Size is 12x12x24 for my 3 months old baby veiled. I got inspired by you Patrick. Thanks for all the information I could find here for free guys! This site is very helpful. :)
BTW: He didnt touch the baby tears yet.
You dont need to worry about covering the soil, because nothing can get to it when it grows right I guess.
Sorry for the quality and darkness:

I bought mine week ago, it was really huge and cheap. I Will probably have to cut it and only use like one third of it to fit my pot. Its doing great, just sitting on a window ledge waiting to be used pretty soon when I am done with my enclosure. It was great tip, its going to keep the humidity...

Anyway, it only has blossoms for few weeks at summer and since I got it, I dont want to buy photos plant.
Hi guys,
I couldnt find any info about this plant being safe for using in chameleon enclosure. Does anyone know? I got this nice plant which I would love to use instead of photos. I know that bougainvillea is a safe and is kind of similar to this one.
Cheers
