    Crazy questions

Ha ha ha! LOL. Don't put yourself down, now! There is no magic bullet. I never said it was easy for me to get Rambo out. I have to coax him every time. Usually I wear gray or black so it isn't the colors. I've tried offering worms, etc. It doesn't work for me either. I keep my hand palm down and...

    Crazy questions

We've raised three children and I think Chams cost More! I took Rambo out yesterday on my shoulder for about 15 minutes. He hates leaving his house but loves going outside and doesn't want to come back in! Make sure you have several 'layers' of vines and branches for buddy912 to change up on...

building a new home for veiled cham... ideas??

Still The Season For Cage Builds: Hi. I hope your project turns out great. Let's see some pictures when you can. We love those. I have posted many pictures of my new cage build back in May and June. You don't really need anything in the bottom. Just keep it clean. I put a potted schefflera...

I think y'all might be wrong

This post received some very funny responses. Thanks for the question. I am not an expert by any means, but from what I have been told and have seen it is not a good idea to let them drink 'standing' water. Bacteria can grow in it very quickly and they will become ill very, very fast. It's just...

Does such an awesome plant exist?

Same Problem Here. Lol, that's funny, so does my veiled! Nearly killed the schefflera. I had to take it out and get a second one. Marble sized rocks is what I use. About 1-2" in the bottom. I've had trouble with drainage so changed to a pot with a pour lip on the drainage tray. Best idea is...

    MistKing Timer help please

While the timer is in Off mode push the R button until it says Auto - Off. Leave it alone until it cycles On again. The display will change to Auto - On for the duration then it should go ahead and function normally after that.

    Tractor Supply

The rim of the pan is about 3/8" rolled. The pan measures about 23 7/8" at the outermost width. I had two ideas when I built my cage: 1) build the enclosure around the pan (which I did) or 2) build a 3" or 4" frame under the cage and slide the pan in that frame, under the cage. That meant I'd...

    Dying Schefflera

Very helpful information. I just took a look at mine and decided to repot. Actually there were four root balls in the pot so I soaked them in a bucket for about 15 minutes and then carefully worked my fingers through the roots shaking them until they separated. I repotted into two pots, two...

    Dying Schefflera

It's not just schefflera that does that. If it gets too wet and can't drain or if it doesn't have enough bright light, or if it is root bound, that can happen. Repot it and use cactus potting soil. I had to cut large drain holes in the bottom side of mine and take it out every couple of weeks to...

Intersecting Hobbies - Chameleons and Bonsai

    How to maintain live plants

Oh no, just grows straight up with several strong stalks and 5-7 slender leaves on each stem. Kinda like a thick bush.

    getting frustrated...

HaHa! Seriously though, I use a PUR 3-stage filter on my kitchen tap and use only filtered water in my mist system (homemade but like MistKing) haven't had a single problem in the months it's been used! :p

    How to maintain live plants

I'm sure we'll get some pros to chime in here but meanwhile, I have to take mine out every week or two and let it 'air out' on the patio. I think it gets water logged and probably doesn't get quite as bright a light as it would like. I use schefflera "umbrella" plant instead of ficus because it...

    The Season For Cage Builds

I found it with the rabbit supplies in the Tractor Supply store. Do you have that store in your area? http://www.tractorsupply.com/home-rig-house-trade-plastic-dropping-pan-24-in-x-24-in--2180589

    The Season For Cage Builds

Thanks folks. Just hit 1,900 views. I do have one question. Since Rambo just finished his 'first' shed (with us) how long can the shed process go on? I thought he was done and then he started up again. Today there was a huge piece hanging off each of his back feet. I got one of them when it fell...

New Enclosure, New Cham and stuff

Looks like a real Guy Room! Lol. I think you did an awesome job on the cage build. No one else will notice if it's a little crooked here or there anyway. Put a dark varnish on it and all the flaws will hide. I know what you mean about screen. Mine has CLAWS and he does not like trying to climb...
