Best idea for a feeding cup in a mesh cage?

I just use a small plastic Tupperware cup that I secure to the cage with a pipe cleaner. The Tupperware I use has a little lip on it, so I just made a loop with the pipe cleaner, twisted it a few times and then put the ends throught the screen and twisted a few more. Sometimes I secure it to a...

Ideas for hanging plants from this stand

I second what ispeedonthe405 recommended. I bought 6 of these on clearance at Wal-Mart back in March (three each of the 3" and 6" holders)and they've come in really handy. I took apart one of my free-standng clothes racks then secured the 2 metal posts with end caps to the back 2 corners...

    Gravid, Pinworms, Wasps and Donuts

In my early 20's I had an Iguana named Bitey (and have a scar on my nose from when she chose to truly live up to it), and in high school I had 2 iguanas, Spaz (I didn't name him) and Little along with a duck named "Duck-duck". I'm not a great namer either

    Gravid, Pinworms, Wasps and Donuts

Awesome, thanks for the update and tagging me so I'd see it! I'm glad she's doing well and just not there yet opposed to being egg-bound; must feel great to know! Lucy almost got a wasp last week that had snuck in the window and was attracted to her lights; I was so glad her screen blocked it!

    Ants. Just need to vent.

Awesome, thank you for the info! I just learned about it from a neighbor and started using it last summer. Also, great idea for putting it around the cage for escaped feeders; I will definitely copy you on that one. I don't feed her anything dead or dying either, but I keep her habitat in my...

Ophelia is in her laying bin!!!!!!!

How is she doing now?! Any updates or eggs laid yet?? See, she was right behind Lucy! I know your stress and excitement from just a few weeks ago; I didn't sleep much the 3 days she was digging. I turned Lucy's Monsoon off for while she was laying and hand misted instead (making sure to...

    Ants. Just need to vent.

Diatomaceous earth is what we use too; mostly to keep sand fleas off of the dog and cat during warmer months. I've been too nervous to use it around Lucy's cage; I'm afraid I'll end up killing her feeders. Have you had any problems using it with the feeders?

How do you fit both drainage and misting system under your enclosure?

I have Lucy's enclosure up on an empty bathroom sink vanity (got it for free off of Craigslist just for a stand). I have the monsoon underneath it along with both a 5 gallon bucket and mop bucket (both empty) that I use to hold up a concrete mixing bucket. I drilled holes in the bottom of...

    Lucy laid her eggs!!

She will do great too. I got Lucy on 11/28/16, so your lady is right behind her! I've been stressing for a while because she was getting so big, but once she started digging up plants it was 3 days almost to the hour!

    Lucy laid her eggs!!

Thank you! I didn't sleep much the past few days worrying about her. I've been so lucky with her; she was a Pet Smart impulse buy, on sale for $25 since she had been there for months. Despite being naive to chain stores chameleon husbandry issues, I somehow lucked out and she hasn't had any...

    Lucy laid her eggs!!

Yes, she's a veiled and my first chameleon. Now that I've read more about her on this site and Kitty the Chameleons blog, I'm going lower temps and cut feeding back. I'm just glad she did so well with my novice mistakes

    Lucy laid her eggs!!

My little girl finally laid her infertile clutch last night after 3 days, and two ruined plants worth, of digging! She ended up with 63 eggs as the final count and she went from 124 grams down to 83 grams! She's been drinking as much as I'll give her and is eating again. I'm going to to get...

Tips for mounting a feeding dish?

I used jewelry wire and pipe cleaners to mount most of the lighter stuff on mine. I have 2 feeding cups; one for treats and one for regular food and I used pipe cleaners to hold on both.
