How’d you breed them, and how do you sex them? Does it smell when you feed them off!
I can’t believe I’m considering breeding stink bugs. But I’m forever finding them....
If I were you I’d get her to a qualified (has experience with chameleons, not just reptiles) vet TODAY, and then be prepared to set up a hospital bin and make some major care changes, if she gets that opportunity. Once you’ve got your appointment set, please copy and paste and fill out the form...
What do you have for lighting? That will determine your supplementation needs.
Personally, I use 12% t5ho lighting, calicuim withOUT D3 every feeding, and Reptivite with d3 2x monthly. But, if you are using lower quality lighting this schedule will leave tour cham deficient. Lighting is the...
Wherever you ordered the bulbs from likely sells the fixtures as well. The fixture will be slightly longer than the bulb. 22” t5ho bulb uses a 24” t5ho fixture. I ordered all mine from Pangea. Glad to hear you are upgrading from the dome/coil lighting. Very beneficial change for your cham!
My female stops eating totally for about 5 days immedietely before laying. Womt
Even touch hornworms or supers. She then eats everything in sight when she’s done (which is her normal, she’d eat herself to death if I let her!) I only feed her daily for the first couple days after her clutch
Your lay bin substrate needs to be able to hold a tunnel. I’m not 100% sure from looking at your pics but that looks like it may be too dry. I’d get some play sand and if it is as dry as it looks add some water until it holds a diagonally sloping down tunnel (not straight down like a well). I...
A few thoughts....firstly I agree that you should contact a vet, she doesn’t look healthy.
Are you gutloading your feeders with anything? She should be getting calcium without D3 every feeding and a multivitamin with D3 2x a month. This is especially important as she is now old enough to...
Good morning. If you fill out the ask for help form people will be able to give you mich better advic. It is located at the link below, just copy and paste the questions and include as much info as possible, details are important! Pics of your cham and enclosure can be a huge help as well...
Some pics as well as filling out the how to ask for help form (link below) will allow people to better help you and your cham.
I can, however, give you a piece of general related info, that chams are dry shedders. Adding moisture will only make the shed stick. Water dishes are not a natural or...
You say you are concerned about a D3 OD but you tell us you supplement “once in awhile” and clarify with “ I have a strict regimen and keep track but quite obviously I’m worried and panicked, so im not going to write down his entire life history”. How do you expect anybody to be able to help...
How old is he? That will determines how long he can go without food. I’d do the same as for a Cham on a superworm strike....stop offering the food he wants. He’ll get hungry and curious. My rescue had to learn to eat things other than super and wax worms. It didn’t take long when those weren’t...
You’re going to want a linear uvb, preferably t5ho. It’s a long tube. The coils that fit in those domes do not provide uvb last a few inches, so your chams health suffers. I order my t5ho bulbs online as my local stores (like most areas) do not sell them. She should really be on a consistent 12...
She may be growing up. Often times younger chameleons can seem more social and friendly, and then that fades as they mature. May also be related to where she is in her cycle. Seconding the concern re: uvb.
If you fill out the help form people can help with your theory of a possibly D3 OD and give you some additional insight.

That’s too bad. Honestly, it seems to me that seeing a vet who is unfamiliar with chams can be worse than no vet at all. Very frustrating! Sounds like the vit A is a good idea. To someone who doesn’t know them a healthy Cham could easily look to thin.
Def check those back feet, could be a she. If you can get a pic of them people here can help you confirm. My female gets that coloration when stressed or hunting.
