Vincent has been acting really strange.

Ah, I'm so glad :D. He's very handsome! I'll start letting Vincent explore more than I have, I've always kept him in his free range tree..I suppose I'm being that protective parent, and I need to let him go where he wants :D I'm gonna cham proof my room right now!

Vincent has been acting really strange.

Also, has any of your chameleons ever eaten dirt? Because I'm currently attempting to keep him away from it and he wont stop trying.

Vincent has been acting really strange.

Vincent is a male veiled chameleon, he's about 9 months old and he's been acting rather strange. The first thing I noticed was the fact that he was "prowling" the bottom of his cage. Head down as if he was looking for something. He is not a female, I am absolutely certain due to the spurs on...

    What species don't need uvb?

Thats wonderful!!!! Are you completely sure you want to jump into buying a chameleon? As said by many above, if your parents have even the smallest problem with plugging more than one thing into the wall, they aren't going to cope with some of the other things. Some things I was NOT ready for...

Is it weird my chameleon likes to cuddle

Man, I wish my veiled chameleon would willingly get within 10 feet of me xD. I really did try... hand fed him for months. He's all charm when you have food...

    How Many Crickets?

Hey guys, Vincent has just started to eat the full sized crickets now. How many crickets would you feed your 8 month old veiled chameleon? How often? Thanks!

    Color preferences (for chameleons)

When I first got my male veiled he seemed to like it up top where all the green stuff was more, (more stuff to hide in I guess). I believe as your Cham gets used to his home and becomes more comfortable with his surroundings he will begin adventureing to the darker areas of the cage :D. Thats...

Is Vincent old enough for the full sized crickets now?

Success! I just bought a couple of the bigger ones and he gobbled them up :P. That mouth is bigger than it looks!

    Misting and Home

I do own a misting system, and in my opinion its great. I only have to fill the 2 gallon resivoir about once every 2 weeks. It does the rest. My only complaint is that the mist goes everywhere when using it on a (baby sized) mesh cage. I have towels everywhere. I hope this problem will be...

Okay thank you! Lets see what he thinks xD.

Is Vincent old enough for the full sized crickets now?

Vincent is about 7 1/2 months old and I was wondering if he is old/big enough to start eating the full sized crickets. He is male veiled. Its rather difficult to measure the space between his eyes, since he's not a fan of me. (Still working on that). I think distance between his eyes and the...

    biting

Don't be, I would say the only thing to worry about is if your cham does bite, don't move your hand. You don't want to accidentally send him airborne. I've held mine regularly for about 5-15 minutes every other day for about 3 months and he does a lot of hissing, but no biting yet...unless he...

    Help!

Sorry for stealing the thread in a way, I know you can help and don't want to bother everyone with a new one, just wanted to ask you how old should my Cham be when I get him the 4x4x2 cage? He's about 5-6 months old now.

    biting

Haha while their young it doesn't, not sure about adults...sometimes Vincent will launch his tongue at my finger and chomp down on it...its like a tiny clamp...he's only about 5 months though.
