Hello all,
After several weeks of stressful cage building I have brought home my first Quad. Not sure if he is quad quad or quad gracilior I forgot to ask. I purchased him from Repxotica in NY. I still need to purchase more plants and turn the cage into a jungle.
Im actually buying one this weekend! They need a lot of humidity and misting. Most will be wild caught from what I have seen. As mentioned we will no longer be getting imports for who knows how long.
Thanks I apreciate it. Yeah i was gonna get a baby panther but for several reason I decided to go with Quad instead. I still need to get more plants since they love shade. I bought 2 bromeliads and an orchid today. Lighting is tbe real killer in this expensive process.
Gotta get some more plants and add branches. Still have to make the drainage layer and setup the mistking. Im still not sure if im gonna paint since half of people tell me not while the other half does.
The guy at reptile store said i should not paint the cage. Does the wood need waterproofing or will it be fine the way it is. I have a mistking that will go off several times a day.
First suggestion is take him to a vet asap. Its always good to have your cham checked sooner than later, especially with cham that may have been wild caught.
Well keeping in mind that it takes a minute or so for a cham to actually adjust to the rain and clean himself etc, you should at least one 5 mintue showe in there.
